Capítulo 25: Chapter 25: Resurrection

“We’ll keep Dominik in Zephyr’s room,” Eurus says as we are bringing Dominik’s body inside.

Zephyr balks, yelling, “Why in my room? Why not yours?”

Eurus looks at him, not a hint of emotion in his face. “I would like to keep my bed.”

“Then where are Kaleigh and I supposed to sleep?” Zephyr asks.

Eurus looks over at me, asking, “Where would you like to stay while you’re here?”

“I’ll stay with Dominik,” I say. I still hold his hand in mine, refusing to let go.

“Very well,” Eurus says. “Zephyr can stay out in the garden.”

“Excuse me!” Zephyr yells. He follows after Eurus and I as we carry Dominik to Zephyr’s room in the back of the house.

We place him carefully on the bed, pulling the blanket up to his chest. His breathing is still shallow, but I’m thankful enough that he’s breathing at all. Eurus excuses himself, leaving the room, and Zephyr continues to follow him and complain. I crawl into bed next to Dominik, turning on my side to watch him.
