The next three days Gemma remained in her bedroom and rarely spoke to Miguel or anyone.
Miguel didn't make much of an effort in trying to speak with her.
Gemma couldn't stand anyone's presence especially Miguel's. It was if he blamed her for losing the pregnancy. Every time he came into her room Gemma could see judgement in his eyes and she couldn't stand it.
"You know you can't continue this way, you have to pull yourself out of this, staying in your room and keeping to yourself won't bring the baby back," her mother said to her.
Gemma's response was a grunt as she turned on the bed and covered herself with a duvet.
"Gemma...." her mother sounded frustrated.
"You need to get closer to God, I know you haven't been going to church. You can't abandon God and expect him to come through for you...."
"I didn't abandon God!" Gemma said, annoyed.
"But you haven't been going to church."
