Capítulo 19: Chapter Nineteen: Party Foul

Kinsley’s POV

“A party?” Terron lingers at the front door, scratching his head.

He flicks a look over his shoulder to me, curled by another raging fire. It’s become my favorite routine at night for the last few days but when Lucas showed up at the door tonight, Terron acted as though that schedule would have to change for tonight.

I rest my head against the couch’s arm, holding a tattered blanket while I wait for Terron to reply. We haven’t been out much, mostly because the Alpha worried I’ll be surrounded and mauled by rogues at a moment’s notice, but he doesn’t ever say that out loud.

It’s a particular look he gives me, one that he checks on, as though making sure I’m still nearby and well.

“I don’t know—”

“Come on,” Lucas groans like a petulant pup. “You both need to go outside and interact with the pack.”

Terron releases a strangled growl, Lucas backing off just a little bit.

“My pack understands my weariness,” Terron says in a booming voice.
