Dr. Packard and Ryder had an amazing night the last time they saw one another?!

I feel tears start to pool in my eyes. How dare the doctor speak like that in my own home?

Ryder clears his throat. "We did. However, a lot has happened since then. For one, I'm getting married."

I scoff in amusement. Good!

"To her? To Samantha?" Dr. Packard sneers and looks around the Foyer. She doesn't sound convinced as she shakes her head and starts fishing for the keys in her purse.

"Yes, I am marrying Samantha. Why do you say it like that?" Ryder puts his hands into his pocket, looking affronted.

"No reason, Ry. Samantha just doesn't seem like your type," Dr. Packard sighs. She bits her bottom lip as she eyes Ryder up and down.

Ryder clears his throat uncomfortably. "I have a type?"

"Does she even know what you do? All of your dirty little secrets. How hard it is to be your woman?"
