And not just here; the Elder casually took a seat across from me. I could only watch as he clutched the backrest with one hand and his cane with the other.

As he took a seat and looked at me with an impassive but observing gaze, I roused up my vigilance. But I didn't want to look so obviously guarded, so I still tried to relax my facial muscle as much as I could. 

"Good evening," the old demon said after he settled on his seat, cane placed between his legs as he looked at me.
