Capítulo 252: Stay By Your Side

Basileus walked slowly down the corridors of the hospital, taking a longer route to get to the floor where Varya and his son resided at that moment. 

Even when he was in front of the door, he hesitated with his hand hovering over the handle. 

Each time he saw his son in that bed, he felt so unbelievably helpless and miserable. It was certainly his fault that his child had suffered because he was there too late. He had passed his aura to his son but it didn't mean he wanted him to use it the way he had. 

To kill someone stronger and larger than him meant the boy was going entirely into survival mode to save Varya. He never wanted his child to go through something so traumatizing at such a young age. 

Would he ever be able to prove himself worthy? He felt undeserving of any praise he had received so far. 

He heard footsteps coming up to him and he stepped back to see a nurse slowly walking up to the door.
