As the first rays of morning light spilled through her curtains, Persephone stirred, the persistent hum of notifications tugging her from sleep. Her phone buzzed incessantly on her nightstand, and she reached for it groggily, blinking against the glow. She squinted at the screen, and a small smile crept onto her lips as she took in the sea of messages and missed calls.
