Jolyn saw that happy, smiling child, she didn't feel a thing and not wanting to get upset with her, she just turned the TV on to some random channel, which turned out to be a program about singers and musicians.
She didn't think much about it, just decided to spend her time reading while the little girl was entertained by the TV.
Days later, Annie showed interest in wanting to sing and play musical instruments, her parents didn't take it very seriously, but Jolyn was curious, not with pity or the desire to help her sister, but curious!
So she spoke for her sister and her parents accepted in moments, so Annie learned to sing with great teachers and to play several musical instruments.
She was talented and if she practiced well, she could become a National Renowned Singer!
Her parents didn't care about that, they were a family of Knights, for them, music wouldn't bring money and nothing important, so they made Annie look for other ways to strengthen herself.
Jolyn watched this and found something, if she supported Annie being a disappointment to her parents, it might lessen the pressure she felt so much.
So she supported Annie and went against her parents, who were powerless and accepted, Annie became a Bard, but continued to focus on music.
Jolyn didn't think her music was anything special, even though she participated in some singing or theater events to show some interest in Annie, she never really liked any of it.
So when Annie got into the Academy, which wasn't prestigious, just above average, her parents had practically given up on Annie and fearing their other children would be equal failures, Jolyn felt the pressure lift, all the responsibilities of being noble, everything subsided.

Jolyn defended Annie, only to watch her frustrated parents, this continued until months later, after the mid-year competition, that song that shook her a little, she didn't understand what she felt, but days later, Sabuu Productions came to them , wanting to build connections with Annie.
So Jolyn saw her plans, everything she fought so hard to finally feel something, be thrown away!
Annie went from being useless in the eyes of her parents to a girl who is finally showing her worth and that made Jolyn unhappy, but she couldn't show it!
Jolyn watched as Annie dragged everything along, thinking she would screw it up like she always does, when she asked her for tips, Jolyn just said, Do what you think is best!
In the end her parents had other plans and hired people to support Annie and her music as this was all because of Roxana!
This commoner she didn't even bother to name, she was the focus of it all and so Roxana went from a commoner her parents hated, to a treasure that could only be used by Annie!
Jolyn watched all this unfold, the songs she listened to out of curiosity and some affected her in different ways, something she hated and it was the first time she felt… envy and jealousy of her sister!
As the days passed, that meeting of singers took place, her parents were very happy, thinking that Annie would make several connections, her family would be even more powerful!
But then Annie was in a coma, Jolyn was very happy about that and went there running, taking her to her house and also taking the opportunity to see Roxana up close, the one who spoiled her plans.
When she saw her, knowing what she did… Jolyn knew Roxana was what she wanted!
Jolyn didn't feel any attraction to Roxana, just a 15-year-old girl, a little pretty, nice muscles, but… it represented no other benefit, except for her strength and talent!
It should have been just that, but she was so much more than that, Jolyn knew that if she had Roxana, she would achieve much more than she has now, she knew that by instinct, this 15 year old, this commoner, is stronger than she is. !
It was when Jolyn felt even more envious of her sister and was content with the fact that she would not wake up, the doctors told her that the brain damage was severe, the odds were extremely low and that perhaps it would be better to let her die.

As she watched and listened to the recordings of Roxana talking to Annie in a coma, Jolyn became more and more jealous, why? Annie got a woman who loved her so much, who would talk for hours and hours, not knowing that she could hear her.
Jolyn listened, wanting to learn more about Roxana, thinking to use this to her advantage.
So she was devising a plan, where she decided that she would start at the beginning of the next year, she would give up on Annie, she would allow her to die, saying that it would be the best, that Annie would not want Roxana to be blaming herself and wasting her time uselessly.
Jolyn knew this would work and she could use it to comfort her and build connections with Roxana.
But... Elixir... Roxana somehow got an Elixir and woke her sister up.
Annie woke up, it infuriated her, all her plans were ruined, all because Roxana loves her sister so much, to the point of conquering the hardest difficulty of a Challenge Dungeon!
She herself has already entered such a Dungeon and before the 3rd Advancement (2nd Class Advancement), she was unable to conquer them, showing how high the difficulty was.
But Roxana did the unthinkable and achieved something that Nations desperately seek and thus healed her sister, which conventional Medicine or Magic could not cure, only a true Miracle!
And now, Jolyn knew that the instant her parents, who knew of Annie's true state, hear that she had woken up and that Roxana had thoughtlessly used an Elixir to heal her, they would support this relationship even more and most likely the pressure about her finding a partner will increase.

Something I think is nice to inform you, is that initially I had planned for Jolyn to be younger and who Roxana would relate to, Annie would be her older sister and would only appear later on, she would not even be a Bard, I had other plans for her.
But while I was on Pinterest looking for inspiration images and filling my personal gallery for character illustrations, I happened to stumble across Fanart of Annie from [Attack on Titan] in a modern outfit, a guitar on her back and well, something popped in my mind and I said: Fuck Jolyn, I want her!
So I changed everything right at the beginning of the work, my thought for the initial Annie would be an extremely cold woman who never found love and who would feel very envious and jealous of her younger sister "Jolyn", for having found someone as capable as Roxana and receiving so much attention.
But it turns out that the personality of Jolyn that I had initially planned would be like Mayara, a noble, spoiled and snobbish, extremely confident in her abilities, very mocking and extroverted, in the end I abandoned everything because of Fanart and… I particularly loved how it turned out!
