Capítulo 147: That's Right, This Is the Wolf Poison Potion!

Editor: Atlas Studios

Remembering the promise he had made earlier, Walker steeled himself and took the Wolfsbane Potion from her.

"We agreed to drink three Galleons at once, don't you forget!"

Amused, Ivan tossed the three Galleons over and then added,

"I've studied the recipe for the Wolf Poison Potion for a long time, and I'm only missing werewolf blood. That's why I haven't made it yet."

Ivan's heart sank. He had worked so hard to brew the Wolfsbane Potion, and now he had to pay someone to drink it.

Walker felt a little more confident now. He looked at the brown liquid in the test tube and gulped it down.

Gulp, gulp …

When Walker drank it, he was aware of the cold liquid rushing into his stomach and spreading through his entire body. His brain felt cold, and it took a while for it to return to normal.

"How do you feel?" asked Doggett hurriedly. He did not share Ivan's confidence, and he considered himself lucky that the first phase of the study did not go wrong.

"Nothing seems to be happening," Walker said, smacking his lips.

"The Wolfsbane Potion is a potion that keeps a werewolf sane. How do you know it's going to work if you don't transform?" Ivan asked.

Walker nodded, his mind replaying the events that had infuriated him.

However, even after several minutes of waiting with Doggett, Walker did not show any change in expression other than anger.

"I've never actively transformed before," Walker explained sheepishly. "Perhaps I wasn't angry enough. Let me think about it."

"Never mind, I'll give you a hand," Ivan said reluctantly.

"Help? How?" Walker asked curiously.

"Fear descends!" cried Ivan, and with a flick of his wand, a purple beam of magical light shot out and struck Walker.

In the next instant, Walker's face contorted, and his body began to swell and change. His limbs elongated, and grayish-brown hair began to grow out of his skin…

However, Ivan's focus was on why Walker's transformation hadn't caused his clothes to burst.

Unless a werewolf transforms, they are also a type of Animagus!

Even as Ivan guesses, Walker's transformation is complete.

The two-meter-tall werewolf stood in the middle of the street, staring at the two of them with its large beast eyes, its sharp claws digging into the ground, its eyes filled with hatred…

"It doesn't look like the potion is working," said Dagget, holding his wand.

"Stop playing, Walker," Ivan interrupted, shaking his head.

"Yes? How did you know I was pretending?"

The slightly sulky tone came out of the werewolf's mouth, a contrast that made Dougut uncomfortable and surprised.

This meant that the development of the Wolf Venom Potion was a success!

"If you had any sense at all, you'd be on us by now," Ivan said casually. "More importantly, I'm confident in my potions!"

"I see…" Walker's lip curled. He'd wanted to scare Ivan to get back at him for letting him witness such an infuriating scene.

"How are you feeling now?" Yvonne asked.

"This is…wonderful!" Walker's wolfish face lit up with excitement. He had never experienced sanity in his werewolf form.

Walker looked at his arms, which were furry and sharp-clawed, and felt his whole body fill with power. He couldn't help but run around, his powerful limbs covering several meters in a single leap.

"He seems to have adapted quite well to being a werewolf," Doggett commented to Walker, who was visibly excited.

Yvonne tilted her head, not quite sure what Dougatt was referring to, but thinking about it, she did.

Other werewolves seem to be more or less averse to their werewolf status,

Just like Lupin in the original novel, even if he took the Wolf Venom Potion, he would only choose to hide in one place and wait for his transformation to end. Once he was discovered, he would look terrified…

Walker, on the other hand, was clearly different. His first reaction when he transformed into a werewolf was excitement, joy at the improvement in his abilities, and even an attempt to adapt to his powers in front of them.

It is indeed different…

Walker ran around like a mad dog, occasionally howling in excitement, alerting the werewolf wizards in the house.

When they saw that Walker had gone berserk again, they drew their wands and gathered their multi-coloured magic at the tips of their wands in an attempt to wake him up.

When Walker saw this, he was frightened out of his wits and scrambled up the tree on his hands and knees, clutching one of the thick branches and roaring with fear.

"Hold on, hold on!"

It was one thing to lose his mind during normal transformations, but now that he was conscious, Walker did not want to be beaten up.

Ivan had a strange expression on his face as he watched the two-meter-tall, ferocious-looking werewolf leap into the tree and hug the branch.

For the werewolf wizards, it was shock, confusion, fear, and disbelief.

"Walker, you can talk now?" Flan's expression changed several times. If not for the werewolf's unusual behavior of hiding in a tree, he would have thought he had misheard.

"Of course I can talk," Walker said smugly, jumping down from the tree and landing in front of them.

All of the werewolf wizards, with the exception of Flan, were clutching their wands, their faces twisted in fear that Walker would briefly regain consciousness and then lose it again.

Fran was not afraid. Even if Walker lost control at close range, he would not be able to defeat him.

"You can stay sane while you're a werewolf? How do you do that? Can you determine how long it will last?"

Walker, troubled because he did not know how long it would last, turned to Ivan and the others.

Flan, who had been watching Walker, noticed Ivan and Doggett approaching from the street.

A vague thought occurred to him, and he was about to ask when Ivan spoke first.

"The potion will keep him awake for at least a week… This is what I was telling you about… the Wolf's Bane Potion!"
