Mauve couldn't help the relief that washed through her at the end of the first meal. Jael was quick to lead her out, noting her discomfort as usual.
"You did great," he praised as they walked out of the hall.
She chuckled, "You don't need to praise me like that," she whispered, smiling still.
"Why not? You deserve every praise."
"Jael," she grinned and leaned into him. She couldn't even be mad.
"I will go with you to your room, Mill should join you shortly. I will wait for her with you."
"You don't have to do that," she whispered.
"I want to," he replied.
She nodded, "Okay."
She walked in silence beside him as he made his way to her bedroom. Mauve stood back as he pushed the door in and walked into the room.
Mill has already cleaned up, there was absolutely no evidence that she had showered here except for the faint smell of soap.
