True to his word, Erick made sure they weren't bothered. Mauve didn't move from the desk until it was time for the second meal and she wouldn't have known to do so if Jael hadn't interrupted her work.
"At this rate, you'd rather keep dealing with those letters than even eat," he muttered behind her.
"Huh?" She asked, raising and turning her head to look at him.
"Aren't you hungry?" He asked with his arms folded as he stared at her.
"Not really," she responded. It was most likely because her first meal ended less than three hours ago.
Her shoulders were getting stiff though. That was the only discomfort she was facing. Okay, maybe she was a little thirsty.
"Well, I am," he replied.
Mauve frowned, Was he moping?
"Okay, it should be time for the second meal, right? Do you want to head out now?" She asked.
"Hmm," he replied and sat upright, pulling her back to his chest. He took a deep breath but didn't let go.
