Jael closed the door softly and his eyes met with Louis. "You're still here," he said darkly.
"Don't sound so cold." Louis responded as he pushed his back away from the door. "Someone has to keep an eye on her."
"It doesn't have to be you," he replied. "I have enough guards for that."
"The ones she's familiar with are busy dealing with Palers. Would you prefer a random guard took over this job?"
"Random?" Jael asked in horror. "They are my guards. They are only random to you because you haven't been here long enough."
Louis sighed, "Fine, whatever you say. I am just saying you know I will do a good enough job. You don't have to sound so hateful just because you have issues with me."
"I don't have issues with you, Louis. I just find it really weird that you're going this far for her, a human."
"I could say the same about you."
"No, you couldn't. My relationship with her doesn't concern that."
