"You are in a better mood," Mill said as they walked down the stairs.
"You think?" Mauve asked with a grin.
"Yeah," Mill said, looking at Mauve's face.
"I wouldn't say I am in a better mood but I guess you can say I have decided to stop sulking. It won't change my situation, it will just make me feel bad. Of course, I am sad to leave and would stop this if I could but I can't and I won't beat myself about that anymore."
Seeing Jevera was an eye opener, at least it was just a couple of months. Not too long. If she didn't think about it too much she would be sure to get over it. More like that's what she told herself.
Mill nodded but there was a strange expression on the vampire's face. "I am glad," she whispered.
They were reaching the end of the stairs and Mauve could feel her body go cold. No matter how hard she wanted to pretend, this was really happening and she would have to face it head on.
