Jael smirked to himself, she was adorable. She didn't meet his eyes as she spoke, instead, she stared at his chin. He had been worried that the conversation about palers had affected her but she didn't seem too bothered by it.
Still, it had pissed him off that Lord Garth had chosen that moment to speak about it. If he had been so curious, he should have asked earlier.
He closed the gap between them and lifted her chin. Her bright eyes fluttered to his eyes and then back down.
His eyes strayed to her lips and then back to her eyes. He would be lying if he said the thought of taking them right now didn't cross his mind.
