"I know but it's not up to me to break the marriage." I bit my lips.

"I can help you escape to a place he would not be able to find you," Avery suggested.

"I can't leave without my mum," I said.

"Your dead mum? That slot?" Grandma's words made me tear up.

I'm really sensitive when it comes to mum. But I pushed it back in, I can't cry before this witch, "She's not dead." I said calmly.

"But she will die. She has an incurable disease or are you not aware of that?" Avery asked sardonically with a broad smile on her lips.

"Watch your tongue, Avery, I've never wished your mum death," I said to her.
