Capítulo 35: Seeking Death
Bolin gives her a smirk as he steps back. Darkness swallows him whole, leaving her standing there looking mad but cute as hell.
In front of the Estate, Bolin's foot appears before he steps out of the darkness. He stands before the large building, looking at the destroyed doors with a sarcastic smirk. He turns his head and disappears mid-step once again.
Further away, a dark and powerful mass appears before Dade and his men causing them to all come to a stop. Bolin steps out of the mass, his dark cloak waving around him like a flag of death. His long black hair blows around him before slowly settling on his broad shoulders.
His flawless face looks as if it was carved from fine marble, but his eyes looked like the darkest parts of hell. The contrast was unnerving.
The darkness around them slips away, leaving Bolin standing before the five men on a path inside the woods. His eyes narrow on Dade as he says, "She may have let you go, but I have no intention of doing the same. Do you really think you can come and insult me in my own home without any consequences?"
Dade scoffs, giving Bolin a mocking gaze before saying, "Do you really think you mean anything to her?" The temperature around them drops as Bolin's eyes harden. Bolin lifts his hand, intending to kill the roaches before him but stops. He turns to the right and lifts his eyebrows.
Confused, everyone else turns to look in the same direction. A man in all white walks forward and says, "I finally found you! Where is she, Bolin?" Weimin stands in all his glory, looking like a righteous man in all white.
Weimin's men all step up behind him, showing their silent support for their leader. They glance at the oddly dressed men with suspicion. Who were they and what were they doing here with Bolin? They didn't seem to be cultivators, but they carried an air of danger with them.
Bolin's dark eyes deepen before a small smirk pulls at his attractive lips. His dark eyes slide back over to Dade and his men before saying, "Good timing Weimin, these men here are trying to harm Lyra. That man wants to take her away and force her to marry him."
Dade blinks completely confused as to what's happening. Weimin turns on Dade and says, "How unmoral of you! So it's you she's running from! I swear on my name that I will never let you harm Lyra!"
Dade's face turns dark as he turns to glare at Bolin. Bolin slightly lifts his chin, giving him a devious smile but remains silent. Dade turns to Weimin, looking him over with a look of annoyance before saying, "I don't know who you are or how you know Lyra, but whatever happens between her and I is none of your concern. Shoo."
He waves his hand, dismissing Weimin.
Bolin's devious smile grows, knowing all too well how this will all play out. Weimin might be a self-righteous idiot, but he's still strong. It will also be a good chance for Bolin to see what these men from another world were capable of without even lifting a finger.
Weimin and his men step up, pulling their power to them, preparing to attack. Dade's hand freezes, realizing he may have misjudged the idiot. Their power was different from their magic, but it still felt strong. They also seem to be able to use it without spells or chants. This is troubling...
Dade's head snaps back to Bolin, only to see the man giving him a knowing smile, full of mockery. Disdain was literally dripping from his eyes! Dade grows angry before snapping at Bolin, "You sneaky little bastard! How are you any better than me?"
Bolin fringes ignorance and says, "I'm not the one forcing her to marry me. If anything, I'm just helping her and trying to keep her safe. Oh, our poor little Lyra has it so hard because of you and your abusive men." He turns his head, looking as if he's trying to keep from crying but in reality, he was trying his hardest not to laugh at the two idiots before him.
Weimin turns to look at Bolin and says, "I apologize, Bolin, I thought you had kidnapped Lyra. I see now that you were only trying to protect her from these scoundrels." Dade sputters, his eyes looking between the two with an incredulous look on his face. Just how did he?? Why was he the one?? Just... how!?
Dade's men also look around with confusion. Had they missed something!? How the hell were they made out to be public enemy number one? What about the bastard that was with Lyra!?
How did things get so twisted!? Weimin turns and launches an attack on Dade and his men without hesitation. To Weimin, these men were trash and deserved to be brought to justice.
Dade and the others use their protective runes to block the powerful blast of energy. Dade and the others dig their feet into the ground, trying to stand their ground but were still pushed back by the sheer force!
The two powers colliding causes a large shockwave, knocking everyone and everything down and away. Bolin remains standing in the same spot, watching with dark amusement. His long black hair blows back past his shoulders as he watches the two collide but otherwise remains untouched by the blast.
Interesting, extremely interesting muses Bolin.
Dade and his men stumble back, looking shocked. These men weren't holding back, or were they? The power these men can summon is insane! Dade and his men sweat, quickly realizing that they had come unprepared. They had underestimated these people and their power.
Dade quickly glances over at Bolin and sees that the man remains completely unbothered. Dade's eyes narrow, knowing that Bolin was no easy man. He had made a fool of him today, but he will make him pay for it. He lifts a high-grade magic potion and throws it, chanting as the smoke covers them like a liquid cloud.
When the smoke clears, Dade and his men were gone. Weimin glares at the spot and says, "It must be them who have unleashed the Demons! Quickly, after them!" Weimin and his men quickly chase after Dade and his men as Bolin remains standing by the side watching everything with intelligent, but mischievous eyes.
If Bolin was right, Dade and his men had only moved a few miles south. It wouldn't take Weimin and his men long before they caught up with them. He lifts a hand, lightly rubbing his chin with a bewitching look on his handsome face.
He'll let the roach live after all. It seems he will be more useful that way. He chuckles, looking back to the spot where the two collided. It seems this will be getting more and more interesting. He should hurry back though; his woman must be waiting for him.
Knowing her, she'll want to settle the scores from earlier. Somehow, the idea excites him. He can't wait.
