SEVERAL MONTHS LATER-----
By now, it was known in most countries and and kingdoms that the Hero Galahad had taken up the role of Guardian to the Kingdom Falmuth, this worked to halt several aspiring invaders. The Leaders were not idiots they knew that someone who was capable of intervening, surviving and actually stopping the monsters that were able to turn an entire fraction of the continent into a barren wasteland was completely capable of nonchalantly destroying most of their forces and he would definitely do it after all it was also revealed that he was indeed the one who had laid waste to the coalition that had attacked Falmuth some years ago.
The Demon Lords had yet to make a move and each of them had moved back to their respective territories, which were by no means small. Many had tried to investigate the Hero or set up spies to monitor his movements but they would all die without being able to report anything courtesy of Bleu and Vert, plus any visitors apart from King Curtis himself would be declined. This was however good news for Rudra, now that Galahad's location had been pinpointed he had sent envoys straight to him, to see if the man had a price, everyone did why wouldn't he?
Galahad himself was right now lying on the grass outside in the lawn and looking at the sky while thinking about something, he was wearing a black t-shirt and matching jeans well the closest things he could find to a t-shirt and jeans considering the era and level of technology. He was deep in thought while Vert stood behind him, today it was Bleu's duty to clean up the mansion. Sensing that something was troubling her Master, she curiously asked, "What seems to be troubling you Master?" Galahad glanced at her from the corner of his eye and answered, "I feel.....uneasy." That's right he was uneasy! He had everything he wanted, everything he needed to stagnate was there with him yet he felt that he was lacking something. Yes, the first few months of simply sleeping and eating while lazing were heaven but then this strange feeling started welling up.
Vert tilted her to the side in confusion, "Uneasy? Are you lacking something, Master?" He sat up and plucked out some grass, "That's it..... I feel like I'm lacking something." Vert focused she couldn't find anything, he had good food, a good home, them, and respect around the world. He could live in luxury for as long as he wanted, he would also have the eventual battle.....probably and besides stagnation was his dream, if he was lacking something it would be, she suggested, "Thrill perhaps Master?" He looked at her with wide eyes. That was it! It was what he lacked, having nothing to do and simply lazing around was fun, yes he was a lazy person but even they need their fun. In his past life, entertainment, parks, trips etc were there, moreover his life as a hitman also provided him with an eventual rush, making him feel content. Even in the forest, there would be the eventual monster attack or simply hunting, it was troublesome yes but it was indeed thrilling. He nodded to himself, his problem was the lack of thrill in other words, "Boredom." he muttered making Vert nod.
Galahad looked at the sky and chuckled, he was lazy yes he himself acknowledged that fact but laziness is in a way doing what you want, when you want. Besides he could have fun while lazing around couldn't he? Like a trip around the world or something, moving when he felt like it enjoying the sights and nature and sleeping when he wanted. Yes that was it, he was simply lazy not someone who sought stagnation or a way to end it all and just sleep, he also sought fun. This was somewhat contradictory but that brought him back to the original point, who said he couldn't have fun while lazing around? There wasn't anyone who could dictate his actions. Yes he was bound to this Kingdom for the next 500 years, but there was no part of the deal that said he couldn't move around and had to stay here during that time.
Fighting was thrilling as well, don't misunderstand he was no battle maniac that just wanted to fight and fight and fight, just that it did provide him a rush. Yawning to himself he shook his head from such thoughts, his decision was already made he would have fun, do what he wanted and all the while laze around as well which was also what he wanted, if anyone has a problem they can take it up with him and probably get ignored. That would be his method of lazing around, as for things that he 'had' to do or was forced into well then he would prioritize efficiency so that he could have his own type of fun, after all if you get told by someone or forced to do something even if it was fun it would never truly be that. That would be his creed, his 'Sloth'. Both Vert and Galahad simultaneously looked towards the gates which were being knocked on by someone in a cloak, judging from the bazookas showing however it was a woman, of course she wasn't hiding her face and was quite beautiful but the problem is Galahad didn't know or recognize her.
Vert went towards the gate and opened it letting the woman who seemed to be breathing heavily in, Galahad assumed that it must be from running here. "Thank you!" quickly thanking Vert, she looked around her eyes landing on Galahad, seeing him she slightly trembled even though she had seen how much magicules he radiated all those years ago, he had become and even greater monstrosity now simply in terms of how much he casually radiated. Galahad curiously looked at her, "So...?". She nodded and said, "You are needed at the Palace, some envoys are here." that was what she had run here for, those envoys were from the growing Empire of Nasca which had begun taking over the Eastern side of the continent so it was important. Galahad's lips curled up, perhaps Rudra was making his move, it was something inevitable with him not being a Demon Lord but a human of course Rudra would try to poach him. This would certainly be interesting as well as 'fun' for Galahad.
Nodding to himself Galahad stood up yawning and lazily started walking towards the gate, "Also....did you run here?" this place was fairly far from the palace, she quickly nodded her head, "Yes." Galahad stared at her confused, "Couldn't you have like....gotten a horse or something?" seeing her shocked and unmoving self Galahad chuckled, the realization of how stupid what she did seemed to be setting in. He yawned and pointed towards the ground as a teleportation circle opened up beneath them and the three of them were teleported to the Palace gates where the guards that had been lazing around quickly straightened up seeing his arrival. "Who are you though?" Galahad asked her as they walked to the throne room. "You don't remember me?" she asked him before sighing, "Of course you don't, you have more important things to do." she said a bit down, what did she expect? Coughing a bit she said, "I'm the court mage." Galahad pondered a bit, "Oh that girl.....with the King?" he asked her and received a nod in response. "So Court Mage....who are the envoys from?" while also wondering why these people didn't introduce themselves with their names and simply gave him their titles, seriously he had one guy introduce himself as trader! She thought for a bit, "From the Kingdom of Nasca, also I have a name it's Elena!" she said with a bit of a pout at the end. Galahad stared at the ceiling, finally! She has a name now. (A/N: Yes side characters can have a personality too.)
A few minutes of walking later, they arrived at the throne room where King Curtis greeted Galahad, after returning the greeting he looked at the other group of people in the room, the Envoys from Nasca. Well it was just deduction since their armors were very different and there was a group from Nasca here and he concluded it was them. The soldiers had no weapons on them presumably taken away when entering but then again magic was a thing in this world, does taking a dagger away from a mage make him less of a threat? No it does not. A man in regal clothing walked forward towards Galahad, "Are you the rumored Galahad?!" he asked loudly a bit excited. Galahad looked at him and nodded, "Yes...?" that man was too damn excited! However before they could say anything, a soldier screamed and charged at Galahad but on the way he felt the world spinning around him as he got slammed into a wall destroying some of it, "Know your place." Vert coldly said from where she had kicked him, her action left many shocked with the strength someone with a body like hers exhibited.
Curtis just ignored whatever was happening, Galahad looked at him in disbelief, "You know...that was disrespecting to you right?" he asked the King who just shrugged. These guys were probably never going to accept their mistake anyway why waste time, he gave Galahad a look that said, 'Both you and I know where this is going to go.' and Galahad nodded understanding the notions of someone he had come to think of as a good friend. The man bowed, "I apologize for his disrespect! Our soldiers are a bit too prideful, considering our way of life and couldn't just accept that they were weaker than you. Of course I do accept it." this made the people who were with him nod. Galahad smiled and dismissed it with a wave of his hand, these guys were probing him not that he minded it, "What do..you want?" he asked them simply with a yawn, yawning often was a habit he had developed courtesy of his laziness.
The man gave a sly smile, "Our King, the Hero King Rudra would like to talk to you." Galahad sighed helplessly, "So...where is he?" of course they wanted 'him' to go there, a ploy to make him see that their Empire was much better than this, but was he going to have that? No he wasn't! "So....bring him here then." he said lazily cleaning his ear and blowing air on his finger. The man looked at him surprised, "Excuse me what?" Curtis who saw this coming turned to the side and started silently laughing but something shocking happened. A beautiful blue haired woman walked forward clapping, "You did exactly what he thought you would!" she said smiling, her beauty and her presence demanding respect. Galahad's eyes widened and he said smiling as well, "Velgrynd..." this was one of the scenarios he had foreseen when coming here, after all Velgrynd possessed parallel existence which allowed her to split her conscious into several bodies.
