Capítulo 13: Preparing For the Entrance Exam (2)
"I noticed something when you where practicing your blood control." George said to Kelvin.
"The amount of inward blood pressure control you have is stronger than your outward control. To put it in simple terms, you should have the ability to control your own blood."
"I don't really understand, it might be possible cause after all blood is blood; but don't you think it sounds painful?" Kelvin asked.
"We won't know if you don't try. I have a new assignment for you; now I want you to forget about controlling external blood for now and just focus on controlling your own internal blood. But first give me your hand." George said.
Kelvin was a little bit hesitant but he gave George his hand anyway. The next action that happened came as a shock to Kelvin; George brought out a penknife and used it to slash Kelvin on his palm. Blood oozed out immediately and started to drop on the floor.
"Shit! Why the hell would you do that!!?" Kelvin said as he snatched back his hand and held onto it in pain.
"My apologies Kelvin, but it would be easier for you this way." George said.
"I want you to lift the blood and make it to float in the air for some time."
Despite the pain he was feeling on his palm, Kelvin tried and to be honest it was easier to control his own blood than others own. Not long after that, his blood started floating in the air.
"Move the blood slowly and gradually increase your pace. Move it while trying to keep the flow of the blood steady." George explained.
Kelvin found it easier to control his blood, however moving it around was not. It took him a couple of trial and errors before he could actually move the blood around.
"For the next few days you should practice this; when you learn how to do this perfectly, we will then focus on trying to change the form and shape of the blood." George said.
So for the next few days Kelvin had been learning how to control and move his blood. When he eventually mastered that, he then went on to learn how to change the blood's shape and form. This was by far, one of the toughest and most difficult things for him to do. But after a series of training and practice, he was able to master it. This gave him the ability to change the shape of his blood to anything he wanted, and he could also increase or decrease the durability and solidity of his blood.
For the next couple of months both Kelvin and Carl had been going through a lot of training. Carl was mainly focused on increasing his combat ability, by battling with the puppet, while Kelvin was mainly focused on controlling his demonic powers. George acted like a guide; he would always correct either of them whenever they made a mistake. He also showed them the most effective way to achieve great mastery and skills in their trainings. So because of this, Kelvin went on to learn some blood tricks and skill. He also learnt how to fully conceal his aura.
The day for the Demon Hunters Academy, practical entrance examination gradually drew closer until it was only two days before the exam.
"Kelvin and Carl, the both of you had been training vigorously for the past few months and I have to say I'm impressed by the amount of growth the both of had been able to achieve." George said.
"Therefore I think it's about time we give you a hidden identity, Kelvin. You won't be entering the academy, if you don't hide your identity, reason is because you're wanted by the demon hunters and I'm sure they have both your facial details, and personal info. So for our plan to work smoothly, we need to give you a facial make over and give you an alias."
"He's right Kelvin; but George, how are you going to change his face?" Carl asked.
George didn't reply instead he whispered a chant while drawing some patterns on Kelvin's face, using his fingers. A golden light emitted from the patterns and gradually Kelvin's face began to change. His pointed nose became slightly round, his grey eyes became brown in color, and the scar on his left eye was gone.
"Wow!! I almost can't recognize you dude."
"But I don't feel anything; can I get a mirror?" Kelvin asked.
George brought a mirror and showed Kelvin his new look.
"This is really cool; I'm like a totally different person." Kelvin said as he looked at the reflection of himself in astonishment.
"What you have on your face is a spiritual construct mask. It gives you the ability to take on the facial form of anything you can think of. You just have to imagine the facial features of whom or what you want to transform to; the only problem with this mask is that it requires a 2 hour cool down after every 24hour daily usage. So be careful." George explained.
"I guess that solves the problem of the look. Now what about your name? You know you have to change it." Carl said to Kelvin.
"I know, and I already thought of a name. My alias is going to be Ken Wilson. What do you think?" Kelvin asked.
"That should be okay. I will identify you as my adopted son; that should reduce suspicion. I think that settles everything about your hidden identity. And Carl I spook with your mom; I told her you will be transferring to a new school overseas and that I would be guardian so don't worry. That should be all; now if you'll excuse me, I have to get things ready for the departure." George said as he stood up and left.
"To be honest I'm a little nervous about this whole academy stuff." Kelvin said.
"Don't worry I'm going to be there. I just wonder what the future has in store for us in the academy."
