You sang softly along to the lyrics that were pounding around the damaged metal ship that you called home. Peter was dancing around, while helping; paying a little more attention to the former, despite the ship was drifting, due to the engine not working. Rocket rolls his eyes and continues fixing his section of the ship, Gamora swayed as she fixed her part. Groot was swaying around handing equipment to Rocket. Drax watched as Mantis bounced around. Nebula was acting all nonchalant as usual, but each time you popped out of the panel in the floor to grab another piece of equipment, you could see her foot tapping along.
You danced around in the small space you were working in, every now and then Peter would look over at you and smile with soft fondness. "Done." You packed the small messenger bag with all your equipment and tools before chucking it out of the open hatch. It landed on Peter's foot, he inhaled and jumped about for a bit grimacing in pain. Rocket chuckled before turning back to his repairs, Nebula grinned. You heaved yourself up and stuck your arm out. Peter was too busy trying to fix the section he had broken while hopping around, so Gamora grasped your hand and hurled you up. You reapplied the grate. You jerked your thumb at Peter, "What's with him?"
"You." Gamora's answer stumped you, you looked over at him with your brow scrunched. Shaking your head, you picked your bag and walked to another part of the ship in need of repairs.
The repairs were know finished and Rocket was successfully flying the ship, Groot at his side. Drax was eating through some of your supplies, Mantis was sleeping curled in her bunk. Gamora and Nebula were half sparing, half dancing the music. The song had been on repeat all day and everyone was partially sick of it, but everyone was still dancing now and then.
Right now, you were dancing around the small section that housed your bunk and footlocker. Singing along at the top your lungs, you whirled around and crashed into Peter. "Peter!" He chuckled. He grasped your hand and pushed you away from him before pulling you back. He began to dance a swing dance mixed with what you thought was a jive. Peter pulled you closer, and his head dipped, his nose brushing yours. You looked up through your lashes at him, your head was nudge gently back. He kissed you softly, the words crashed around the metal of the ship. You both broke apart and Peter had a massive grin on his face. You grinned back, your heart was beating a heavy tattoo which was almost painful against your ribs. Peter smiled at you before kissing you again.
