Capítulo 19: Task Completed
"Hey, are you awake?"
For the first time in 40 years, the sun was seen in the final dungeon's sky.
"What is it, Dii? Is there anything wrong?"
The monster woke up and saw a man with long black hair with white shade on its tip, a necklace made of glowing blue hanging on his neck, and white tattoo that looked like ancient alphabets all over his body. It was the mark of his second awakening.
"Di, where did you get those marks Dii?"
"I've reached my second awakening today."
He said.
"Oh, You levelled up when I was sleeping, Dii?"
"Hm."
The sun went deep inside the dark clouds and thunder started to rumble. Kairos looked up and saw a dark shadow moving in the clouds which were mainly blocking the sun. "The time has finally come," he mumbled and took his sword.
"Dii? What's wrong?"
"Look above. The final boss is here."
The small monster looked above and saw a huge monster with 4 pairs of wings the size of a whole city. A monster was floating in the sky without flapping its wings. 'The island' was its name.
"Dii, the deadline was probably 200 years right?"
"Yes."
"Then, what about we make a home here? We can grow trees, we can hunt monsters to eat meat. Do you know? Your burnt meat is really tasty. I like it so much."
Kairos looked at her and saw her whole body shaking in fear. So, he picked her up and looked above. The island master had so many long chains on his body which were dragging on the ground. They were used to lock the island monster somewhere but somehow it escaped. Now all the chains are dragging and making clenching sounds as it floats around.
"We've travelled a long way here. Seeing that size and the level of the monster is really frustrating. But that is our only way out of the dungeon."
"But Dii. What if you fail Dii?"
"If we give up, we are going to die anyway without trying. But if we die fighting that thing, we can be proud of ourselves."
"I see. Then… let's go Dii. I will try my best to help you."
A chain was dragging closer to him at that time. So, they jumped on the big chain and started to climb up. The monster was above the clouds, so there was no way of knowing what kind of monster they were going to fight.
The thunder was rumbling, a cold freezing wind was passing by. But he didn't let go of his grip. He kept climbing and climbing past the cloud, and he saw the clear sun for the first time after his death.
"Dii, that's a real sun Dii."
Both of them stared at it and saw there were actually two of them. One was a little blue and the other one was green. Both of the suns created an authentic colour of rays which was entering the planet's atmosphere.
"Yes, they are real."
I've never thought I will see the sun ever again. But two suns with different colours? I guess I can count myself very lucky to witness this phenomenon.
He looked up and saw the end of the chain. It was locked into a mountain's wall with a huge needle.
"We're here."
He climbed to the top and felt his body light. "Is the gravity working differently here or are we just too high?" He questioned himself and looked around to see his surroundings. But there was really nothing but a jungle with small trees.
"Dii! Check this out!! It's a glowing stone!!!"
"Hm?" He looked at her and saw a rock with gold mixed with it. It was sure that it was a space rock. "Did you find it here?" He asked.
"Yes! It's all over the place Dii!!! Should I collect it Dii?"
I don't feel any monsters around here so it will be okay.
"Yes. Go ahead. I will check around too."
He put his sword inside his inventory and jumped towards the castle which was situated in the middle of the island. Around him, everything was dreamy. The water was moving slowly due to gravity, and the trees were so small. There were meteor rocks everywhere, even the way he was walking gave him the feeling of a dream. He was unable to move forward quickly by walking. So jumping around was the only option.
"I am walking on the moon."
He smiled…
As soon as he reached the castle, he saw nothing but walls around it. It looked like a prison rather than a castle. The door was open and he saw blue light coming from the inside.
"Dii! I'm back!! I've collected a lot of things for you Dii. Huh? Dii? I feel a strange aura coming from that place."
Without answering her question, he went inside and saw a person with chains all over her body floating in the middle of the hallway. Her hair was so big that it was touching the ground from up there.
"She's locked here for so many years that her hair has spiderwebs in it."
"She's a demon lord Dii. I can feel her dominating aura over me. But she can't take control of it because I share a pact with you Dii."
"I can feel that too. But she's sleeping."
Should I ask the system about her?
'System, is she the final boss?'
'.....'
Even the system isn't answering now. What am I going to do? No, remember the task that the devil gave you 70 years ago. "Kill the boss monster of the dungeon and kill the heroes." If it's the final floor and she's the only person up here, it must be the final boss.
Kairos took out her sword by concealing his killing intent and jumped up to reach her height.
"I will definitely live and leave the dungeon today!!"

The head of the lady didn't separate, but the chairs disappeared with her body slowly.
"Dii!! What is happening Diii!!!!"
"Stick against a wall and then jump towards me. We have to get out!!!"
"Okay Diii!!"
As she was told, she jumped closer to him and Kairos used wind steps to go outside.

He looked above and saw all the stars were falling down. The world looked like it was being destroyed. The ground was coming up, the suns crashed with each other and created flashes of lights and heat. The world came to an end. He looked around while floating in the middle of ruins by holding his bond tightly in his arms. He was lost in the process of the destruction of the world and the stars.
