The sound of metal ticking slowly vibrated the walls and air, making an unpleasant yet hardworking scene to the viewers. The immense heat of fire raged across the room, creating heat waves that pushed others away, but there were 5 figures in the room, looking at the blacksmith.
This odd blacksmith was running a shop here in a black market despite knowing its status. Perhaps, he might had a hidden secret behind his back, but even so, it was a strange look. One could just buy a finished product with great value in the streets or from official merchants, yet he worked here diligently, hiding away from the rest of the world.
The shop seemed to look shabby in the first place as the interior was a mess, but a person with great eyes could spot these weapons and the armors weren't as simple as they looked.
Even a crude knife in the smithy seemed to exclude sharp energy. The armor had brilliant craftsmanship while weapons had great sharpness or durability.
" Clank* I won't sell my children to some unknown people from the alien land. Return where you belong."
The old blacksmith grumbled, hitting the iron with his hammer. His sweat dripped down to his face as he continued to temper the iron. It wasn't a simple iron and nobody would believe this is the magical iron since only dwarves could process them.
" The slave merchant recommended your smithy, saying you can make custom weapons. He told me that you owe him a lot of money."
Licht said gently, looking at the semi-molten iron that was beaten like a pig. The heatwave got stronger, seemingly warning him to shut his mouth.
" Boy, this isn't a place where you run your mouth. I have to admit you are the most talented one that I have met, but do you expect that you can get weapons for those brats behind you? Besides, I see you have already two unique weapons on you. One on that girl, one on you!"
He spoke loudly, tempering his weapon. Regina and Licht weren't offended by his words because he had the capabilities to say so. He seemed rather a normal human from the outside, but they saw his muscles were packed and his aura was no joke. The fine lines of muscles and calcuses on his hand told that this man was a warrior too.
" I will give you a hefty fee and I will owe you."
Licht bowed his head with a straight face which amused the blacksmith. He stopped his tempering and put the sword into the water to cool it down.
Swoosh*
The water sizzled as a sword with crude edges came out. People think swords had edges after tempering but in reality, the edges were sharpened and polished after tempering.
He raised his sword and nodded at it while rubbing his chin.
" You are still observing me, huh? I say you are a peculiar woman. I smell that nasty police or knight-like smell from you."
He turned his head around, showing white rows of teeth. Regina sighed at his words, knowing this man was probably taken to prison or his weapons were made for famous people.
" You aren't a good man, are you? Although I can see you are a good blacksmith, you probably had a bad past. Let me guess, you might be a criminal since you are hiding here, and looking at your attire I can assume you held a high position prior to this."
Regina said with confidence, believing in her career-long experience. The man was taken back a little since this girl's skill rivaled that of head inquisitors in the holy country.
" Kuhaha, interesting! My heart is beating so fast after a long time. Fine, I will make an exception for you."
The blacksmith took the hand of young beastmen as he examined them. Furthermore, he also looked at the elf.
" Interesting, you two came from an extinct golden lion tribe, right? Also, you are a noble elf. I can make weapons for these children, but elf needs a special material. They are closely related to their gods, spirits, nature, and world tree. Therefore, making a metal or normal bow is out of the question. I could make a dagger, but this girl has a gift to become a magic Archer as well as a caster. Thus, I need a world tree branch or divine wood fragment to gauge her."
