Capítulo 54: Chapter 6 Black flames that burned the sky
The townspeople were gathering around to discuss the news in the square during their lunchtime. This is a tradition that passed way before their generation to scout and prevents enemies since the east and the south was at odds. Unknowingly, this became a big tradition for those sects and orders.
" Masters haven't returned yet, right?"
One of the elders asked. His old wrinkly face was full of wisdom to prove who he was in his prime time. He was a soldier that fought for his homeland against the southern warriors.
" Their mission hasn't been finished yet. We have to throw a celebration when they arrive here."
Town mayor said, encouraging his people. The eastern people were famous for their hospitality and kindness to their kin. They loved peace and tranquility, particularly they loved their guardians and heroes.
" Mayor is right. Lao and little Lua always help us. Moreover, all other disciples helped us before going out."
The people chatted, expressing their opinions. Harmony Temple was known for their wandering in the continent. Their monks helped people in need with their all might, not demanding any reward for their kindness. Especially, this time it was a big mission that involved the center of the continent.
They had to invite them to their feast since they hadn't met them for a long time except for the venerable Shanu and his disciples.
" Alright, that is then. We will hold a big banquet for the elders and give them a nice rest for their hard work."
Mayor said, sipping his tea with a gentle expression. He was looking forward to seeing the elders and monks who always helped them, but he didn't see something.
A beautiful woman was peeking through her hood to observe the town. Her violet eyes were filled with indifference for the life.

She said, snapping her slender fingers. The four orbs integrated themselves into the soil of the town. They were absorbed like the water from the rain in the drought.
The witch turned around and left for the temple where she would find her objective. Each step she took left a deep mark on the ground, proving she was a calamity.

The ground burst open with hell flames that engulfed the town in a moment. People were caught off by the sudden appearance of the flames. They screamed as to use their magic and spirits, but nothing answered their calls except for the despair.
Mayor scanned around him with despair to understand what was going on. Then he stopped his movements because he saw jet-black hair. He knew who she was and why she was here. The elder patted his shoulder.
" So, she is here. We can't deny our sins. However, this is the least I can do."
The elder spoke while taking out needles from his sleeves. His old eyes were filled with determination to stop her movements.
" Run, children!"
He shouted, waking up Mayor from his shock. He pushed the women and children to safety because the fire was engulfing every block. His hands were burned by the immense heat of the fire, but he persisted to save innocent lives.
" Witch!"
The elder shouted, running after the witch who was walking calmly in the destruction. Her black was dancing under the fire-like the night sky that covered the starlight.
" Noisy!"
She turned her head around as she stomped on the rubble. The flames came into life as if it was a snake that was preying on the mouse. The flame enveloped the elder to burn away him. The elder already knew he was going to die, so he muttered the last bit of his strength to stop her movements.
" Wait!"
He picked up the rock and threw it to her head. Unfortunately, the rock melted before reaching her head, but that is all he wanted. The witch briefly stopped her movements and walked again.
The elder closed his eyes with a sense of accomplishment. His very being faded into ashes that were scattered around the ground and sky.
Lao quickly ran out of the temple. He saw smoke coming out from the town.
" No, no, no!"
He used every ounce of his strength to stop what was happening.
