*pant* *deep breaths*
Nathalia regulated her breathing as she did her regular morning run. Running along the coast of the the Manila Bay, behind her are her two friends who requested to join her in her run.
She looked behind for a bit and saw them panting like hogs and having difficulty to keep up with her.
When she saw this, she smirked and stopped for a bit to wait for them to catch up.
"Look at you two, panting like hogs. Let's take a breather and just walk home. It seems like you two won't be able to run for the rest of the journey." Nathalia said with a smile as soon and they catched up.
"**wheeze** You... ha... really... are... **wheeze** a... ha... a lioness..." Alec said in between breaths.
Nathalia smiled and said, "Seems like you still have energy. Up for a run home?"
Alec and Alexa's face darkened as soon as they heard those words. If eyes could kill, Alec would be long dead because of Alexa's intense glare on him.
Nathalia chuckled when she saw Alexa's intense glare at her brother.
"Alright, let's just walk. Let's rest her for five minutes and walk home after." Nathalia then sat and looked at the beach. Unlike her past life, the beach was clean although not perfect.
The siblings sighed in relief and both of them sat down too to catch their breath.
After taking a breather, Alexa looked at Nathalia and said, "Did you see the news? Why did you give that to Korea?"
"That... they deserved a reward." Nathalia answered as she stared at the waves blankly.
As for what she gave to the South Koreans, it was just her research papers about hallow carbon spheres and blueprint of the lithium air battey. Although it was insignificant to her, it had a huge impact on the world when the South Koreans announced their progress on lithium air batteries.
"Those shameless people. They took the credit that should've been yours. Why won't they admit that you gave them your papers and blueprints?" Alec was extremely annoyed at what the Koreans said internationally.
The Koreans boasted that they would have converted their transportation into affordable electric cars by twenty years. Those Korean netizens also boasted and shamelessly went to other nations websites just to brag.
Nathalia just smiled faintly and said, "Those were insignificant to me. Don't worry. As long as I'm here, we won't be left behind by anyone."
Due to what happened yesterday, she realized that although she is powerful and undefeatable in the internet where she is god, her country don't necessarily have anything that allows them to have a leverage whether its economically or about military strength.
They don't have oil so they needed to import all the oil they needed from oil producing countries. Also, although their country have abundant resources in minerals and aquatic resources due to it being an island country, majority of their mineral resources were untapped and they are not the only country who has abundant aquatic resources.
So she decided to give her research results about the nuclear fusion reactor, carbon based quantum chips, ion thruster propulsion system based on Hall-effect principles, and lithium air batteries. She gave her research papers and blueprints to the government of the Philippines while saying that they needed to keep it under wraps.
Although those scientific research results are astonishing, it would be useless of their country was suddenly isolated economically. That would make them lose countless money and it would have significant impact on people's lives. It was a relief that their government was understanding and she haven't heard anything about her research being leaked from any news yet.
Alexa looked at her and ridiculed, "You have a severe case of Aizenism. You always act like everything is according to plan, ugh."
Alec and Nathalia laughed hearing her words. Alec can understand Nathalia. If it was cool to act mysteriously, even he will do it if he had the chance.
"Alright, let's go home now." Nathalia stood up and said.
~ " . . . " ~
Nathalia was now walking home alone. After she stopped by Alexa and Alec's house for a bit, she left and went home herself.
After walking for a few minutes, she arrived in front of their house and she entered.
"Mom! I'm home!" Nathalia shouted while removing her tennis shoes off and placing them in the shoe rack.
"Welcome home~! We got a few visitors today." She saw her mother come and said to her with apparent joy on her face.
"Visitors? Who is it?" Nathalia was confused. The first thing that popped up in her mind is that the government found her but that's impossible. She shook her head and waited for her mother's answer.
Her mother smiled mysteriously and just said, "You'll see soon. You'll be happy to see them."
I followed mom inside with curiosity and we went to the backyard. That was when I vaguely saw figures sitting in the pagoda. When I looked at them closely, I was shocked.
I looked at mom and asked her, "Is that—?"
"Fufufu~ Yes, they arrived earlier when you were out for a run. They came to visit you." Mom chuckled as she looked at my astonished face.
The ones sitting in the pagoda are my brothers, Ryusui and Sai. I was planning on visiting them next year but I didn't expect him to directly come here.
As we got closer, I now clearly saw what they were doing. They are playing chess and it seemed like Sai defeated Ryusui just as soon as she arrived.
"Check. That was a misplay on your part. For you to be checked this early and even by Scholar's Mate. You're getting rusty." Sai said as he stood up from his seat and went to my direction with a smile.
"You're my little sister, right? I haven't met you in the house back then so this is our first time meeting. Nice to meet you little sister." Sai said with a smile on his lips.
Based on what he heard from Ryusui and the former butler, this little sister of his can already talk fluently at the age of three and even read complicated scientific research. But it was a shame that they already left before he could meet them back then. Now that they met, he was obviously happy.
Ryusui also stood up and greeted her, "It's been a long time, Yukihime."
