At the dining table, Jing Yan ladled a bowl of seafood porridge for He Miao and placed it in front of her. "Don't let your thoughts run wild when you're eating."
He Miao looked up at him and shut her mouth.
Jing Yan could not help chuckling. "Grandpa has always been in good health, so you don't have to worry. Besides, we have a private doctor at home who is in charge of taking care of grandpa's health."
He Miao nodded thoughtfully and took a bite of the seafood porridge. The umami flavor immediately spread in her mouth, driving away the morning's chill.
Jing Yan saw that she liked the food, so he scooped some more seafood from the big bowl and put it in her bowl. He smiled and said, "Since you're so worried about grandpa's health, why don't you be his granddaughter-in-law? We can be filial to him together in the future."
