Capítulo 20: Chapter 20 - Unexpected situation

Alex and Steven were now going toward their usual place. They were going toward uncle Harry's cafe. Well, when they were in middle school, they always liked to come here.

"Ahh… bro, this brings back memories," Steven said to him. Alex just nodded at him.

After reaching the cafe, they get down from the car and walk toward the cafe. Alex previously already came here, so he knows about the situation at this cafe. As he expected, most of the cafe is empty. There weren't many people in the cafe. But still, you can see the smile on uncle Harry's face.

When they enter the cafe, Harry looks at them. He already recognizes Alex, but cannot recognize Steven at first. But then Alex side to him,

"Haha… uncle Harry, did you forget about the fatty that always came here with me?"

Instantly, uncle Harry recognized Steven, but still, he was surprised. Alex and Steven, after looking at uncle Harry's face, begin to laugh. They both know why uncle Harry was so surprised. You can say Steven previously was very fat. So it was natural if he suddenly saw Steven like this.

"Haha… Steven, look at how. How did you become this slim? I can't even recognize you." Uncle Harry said to Steven while smiling.

"Nothing special, uncle, just continuously exercise," Steven said to him with a smile. Both of them then sit down.

"Really, this brings back memories. Do you still remember how we always liked to come here?" Suddenly Steven asked Alex.

"Haha… how could I forget? Sometimes, we didn't even go to school and spend our time here. Haha," Alex said with a smile.

" Really, those days we didn't need to worry about anything. Just chilling and enjoying our school life." Steven exclaimed. Alex nodded at him.

" Hey Alex, now I remember, didn't you go to Venus high school with Ronnie, Maya, Danny, and Tanvi? Have you still contacted them? Also, you suddenly went to Mount City. Did anything happen in your house?" Steven asked him.

" Yeah, I also went to Venus high school. Also, you can say that I don't really want to contact them. Well, you can say that something really happened, and I left my house. Then I went to Mount City telling no one." Alex said to him, while sighing. He really did not want to contact those people. Those people were previously Alex's friends while they were in middle school, but when they went to Venus High School, suddenly their behavior changed. At first, everything was normal, but then slowly they stopped talking to him and started ignoring him or you can say previous Alex. Danny was the best friend of previous Alex, while Tanvi was previous Alex's girlfriend. As you can guess why he did not want to contact those people.

"Oh… hey don't worry about it. If those people did not want to stay friends with you, then they can leave. But this fatty will always be your friend.." Steven said with a smile. Alex nodded at his words and smiled.

" Hey, boys, why the serious look on your face? Just smile and cheer up. Everything will be alright," at this time suddenly uncle Harry came to them with their coffee and said to them.

"Haha… you are right uncle Harry," Steven said to uncle Harry while smiling. Alex also smiles. Yeah, they should just really forget about those things and just cheer up. Uncle Harry also sits with them. After that, they begin to talk about various things. Alex also told them about his Grandma and grandpa. He also told him about his new life in Mount City. It surprised both Harry and Steven to hear all of this.

While they were talking about various things, suddenly some people entered the cafe. Uncle Harry quickly got up from his seat to welcome those new people. Alex's backside faced the door, so he wasn't able to see those new people, but Steven already noticed those people. But he was thinking about what he should do right now. Fortunately, he had a cap on his head so no one could easily recognize him. He stops looking at those people and once again begins to talk with Alex. Alex didn't notice his weird behavior.

Well, those people who entered the cafe were his friends and teachers. 4 of them were his old friends from middle school. As you can guess, those four were the people who Alex did not want to contact. Danny, Ronnie, Maya, and Alexa, with them, were his friends from college. Also, with his friends, his teacher Aria and teacher Hina. Most likely they were coming here from college.

The college already started for those special class or fighter class students. Well, there was no class today, because of this he was free. His friends went to the college on their own to practice. They also previously called him and told him that they were going to the college for training. But Steven did not want to go, so he rejected them.

Well, Alex already feels those people. One of them also seems to be familiar to him. He just can't remember who it is. But he still did not turn his head to look at the people. He did not want to look like a rude person.

Fortunately, those people didn't sit down near Alex and Steven. Steven sighs in relief after seeing this. He can already tell Alex seems to feel irritated when he talks about Ronnie, Danny, Maya, and Tanvi. He still did not know what happened between them. Even after asking Alex the reason, he did not tell him anything. When previously he contacted those four people to know about Alex's situation. Those four people also told him that they didn't know anything about him. They also show their concern for him.

"Well, let's go to the shopping mall. I needed to buy something from there," after finishing the coffee Steven said to Alex.

Alex POV:

Steven told me that he needed to buy something from the shopping mall, so he wanted to go to the shopping mall. Naturally, I agree with him. Not that I have anything to do right now. Actually, I need to complete the missions, but I can do that later.

Both Steven and I get up from our seats. We began to walk toward uncle Harry. After paying him, we were just about to exit the cafe when something unexpected happened.

Suddenly I feel energy fluctuation. I looked outside of the cafe and saw a portal begin to create in that area. This really surprised me. How this portal suddenly appeared here. Well, not that I really know about these portals and those monsters. I also noticed that Steven was looking at that portal with a serious expression. Suddenly, I remembered something. When we had previously met, he told me that he was also a student at the Royal Academy, but he was in the special class, or I can say, the fighter class. That means he also wanted to become a fighter and know about all these things. I stopped looking at him and once again focused on that portal.

I can feel that not only we but everyone in the cafe is also looking at the portal. Many people began to panic, and many were already using their phones to record it. At this time, I was thinking about what I should do at this moment. Well, revealing my power in front of Steven can be troublesome.

"Everyone, please calm down. Please calm down. We will handle the situation." While I was busy thinking, I suddenly heard a voice behind me. I turned around and saw that some people were most likely the same age as me trying to calm down the crowd. They also wore the Royal academy's uniform. Most likely, they were from the fighter class of the Royal Academy. Not only them, but I also noticed 5 familiar people. 4 of them were the friends of previous Alex and teacher Aria.

All of them are trying to calm down the crowd. They quickly came out of the cafe and began to tell all those people who were recording the portal's video to stop recording and then retreat from there. Many people didn't listen to them, but instantly Aria released her aura. Instantly, all those people began to tremble. All of them stop recording and retreat from there.

After that, teacher Aria told all those 8 students to maintain the crowd, while she and the other lady will face those monsters.

At this time, suddenly Steven turned his head toward me and said,

"Alex, I am sorry, but please stay here. I need to help them. I know it is probably impossible to believe, but monsters will come out of that portal, so please stay here don't go very close to that portal,"

I did not say anything. Just nodded at him. He smiled at me and then quickly went toward Aria and the others.
