Capítulo 20: Noir!
(Lucifer POV)
I was speeding through the forest but sensed some movement nearby.
I immediately hid and watched to see what was happening.
There was a broken down carriage and a couple of armed swordsmen guarding some sort of princess in a fancy dress, it seemed as if they were being attacked by bandits and surrounded.
What a cliche event.
I just roll my eyes but continue to watch.
Even though the guards were outnumbered, they were holding their own pretty well.
But they were still outnumbered, so they were fatigued and injured over time.
"PROTECT THE PRINCESS WITH YOUR LIFE!!" I heard one of the guards exclaim.
Okay, let's skip ahead of time a little, this is getting boring.
(20 Minutes Later)
Once one of the guards were about to get killed, I intervened.
'Shunpo'
"Yo!" I wave at the bandit whose sword I'm holding with my fingers.
The guard's eyes widened in surprise as soon as he saw me.
"Ugh, on that thought I'm leaving, I don't feel like participating in some cliché event that is gonna make me waste more time than I should."
I look at them disinterestedly.
Usually, I would be a nice guy and help them but my intuition tells me otherwise.
It feels as if I can perceive the fu-
"Wait sir, please help u-" The princess who was silent interrupted me out of my thoughts.
I'll think about that later.
"Yeah no." Looking back at her with a chuckle, I disappear from my original spot.
I start to Shunpo back towards my original destination....
The Gate To The Under World.
When I was at Ingracia even though I was messing around, my main objective was extensive research on how to enter the Under World.
And I eventually found out the location of the gates to hell after some long gruesome research.
The reason why I was looking for it was because I was looking for the one and only Black Primordial, Noir, or as we know Diablo.
After a good run, I eventually reached the coast.
Up ahead of me was the vast sea.
As soon as I was about to start flying a little creature walks up to me.
It has scaly wings, four legs, and obsidian-scaled skin.
To simplify it, it looks like a small black dragon, probably a baby.
It was 2 feet tall and 2 feet wide, it's dark purple eyes just peered at me curiously.
A little similar to Toothless from the series How To Train Your Dragon.
"Look what we have here, you look pretty cute." I start petting its head with my finger, it starts to purr with satisfaction like a cat.
"You even sound like a cat. What are you doing out here by your self little guy?" I question while continuously petting it.
"RaRaRaaraaa" It replies.
"Am I supposed to understand that?" I raise my eyebrow looking at him questioningly.
"RaRaaraaRaaa" It nods its head while talking with a smug smirk.
Whatever it just said definitely wasn't something good.
Probably called me dumb or something.
In the first place, how does a baby dragon, even know bad language?
I mean it's the Tensura world, most monster babies are probably born with high intelligence, especially dragon-like beings.
Well back on topic to this rude little dragon.
"Little punk, what did you just say?" I questioningly looked at him pointedly.
"RaRaaaRa" It turns around and starts to shake its butt with a mocking smirk on its face.
"Oh, so you think your funny now do you?" I immediately lunged at him but he dodged.
"RaraaRaaa" It started to mock me while running away.
This chase continued for a little bit before I decided to actually catch him.
"Ok, enough is enough, smug punk." As soon as I finish my words I increased my speed by 0.000000000001%.
I chuckle inwardly and jump towards him immediately.
"Gotcha Now." I landed right above him and had my hands over it.
I remove my hands, in order to see him but...
"He disappeared?" I look around confused because I intially sensed him under my hands but he was nowhere to be seen.
"Alright come out now, you've won."
No answer.
I activate my [Magic Sense] and look around.
"Interesting." I mutter under my breath with a slight smile.
I don't sense him nearby but it's as if we're connected in the soul, we've had a soul corridor so easily but I guess with a baby such a thing is possible.
It's definitely not on the same level as me and Rimuru but it's still solid.
It's weird that it disappeared but I can somewhat sense that it's fine.
Focusing back on my main objective for coming here, I look toward the sea and see one small isolated island with my heightened sight.
I jump off the edge of the land and jump into the sea.
Realistically, I could just fly or Shunpo to the island but I wanna have some fun and I haven't swam in a long time.
As soon as I go underwater, I start to zoom towards the Island using my [Water Control] skill.
I mean Rimuru had the power to use all the elements and he rarely used them.
Like I could literally create a Tsunami if I wanted to, or bring down Lightning on a kingdom.
Enough of that, I finally reached the island, it was roughly 10 miles in width and length.
It was barren, and the ground and trees seemed dead.
There was no grass, nor were there any leaves on trees, you could literally see the end of the island, or at least I could.
But an aura coming from the dead center of the island put me on my guard.
Looking towards there, there was a large gate, similar to Ramiris's but black.
"Finally, the place I was looking for." I shunpo in front of the gate and look at it with a smirk.
Running at it, I throw my fist back and launch it at the gate.
*BOOMMM!*
The explosion caused debris to go everywhere.
Once the debris cleared up, the gate was standing 100% fine with no damage.
"Tsk, I wanted to break it open with my own hands but being smarter is better than being a hard worker." I look at the gate with annoyance,
I started to pull things out of my pockets, one vial, a bone, and a piece of hair.
Why do I have these, you ask?
Well, I came prepared.
While I was researching at Ingracia, I found out I needed a powerful dragon's bone, an angel's or fallen angel's hair, and last but not least, I needed a primordial demon's blood in order to open the gate.
How did I get them, you ask?
Don't worry about it.
But if you really wanna know, I asked Milim for a few favors, one of them was to ask for blood from a certain red-haired demon and the other was to steal a certain lazy demon lord's hair.
And the third one, will be left for another time.
Well now I owe her big time, I'll pay her back once I'm back home.
Okay back to topic.
I stand in front of the gate and start my hoodini magic.
(Few Hoodini Magics Later)
"Finally opened, MUAHAHAHA!!" I started laughing like a madman once I saw the gates open up.
I was so excited I just Shunpoed into the gate.
One second I was on the barren Island and now I'm in purgatory.
Looking around, the sky was red, the ground was also red but it spread out so far that even I can't sense the distance.
The land was very vast and empty.
This place looked exactly how I imagined it.
But somethings missing.
Where are all the demons though?
"Well well, what do we have here? Kufufufu"
I instantly turn around pulling my guns out.
In front of me was an individual with black hair and red streaks, black and golden eyes with red irises in a formal suit looking at me with interest.
My eyes widen in realization.
"Diab-Noir? The Black Primordial?" I fix my words immediately remembering he hasn't been named Diablo yet.
"Kufufufu, so you know about me? How is that possible? Even the oldest of oldest wouldn't be able to tell me by a glance." Diablo at first seemed confused with what I was going to say but seemed more intrigued about how I knew about him.
"Well let's just say you were the one I was looking for."
"Wha-" Diablo was about to ask something but I cut him off.
"Wait! That lowkey sounded weird so let me rephrase that, I need assistance, and you're the best choice for it." I nervously chuckle off my embarrassment.
Diablo seemed confused about why I cut him off but continued nonetheless.
"I see, and what is this matter you need assistance with?" He questioned with a mysterious smile.
"I want you to become my equal in a partnership." I tell him my plans for him.
"And what would this so-called partnership entail?" He gleamed with interest.
"Well, whatever partners do?" I state confusedly.
I'm not gonna lie I didn't think this far because I was honestly being lazy.
"HAHAHAHA" Diablo immediately fell into full-blown laughter.
I don't think I've seen Diablo full-blown laugh like that before.
Was what I said, that dumb?
"Tsk" I just roll my eyes.
Diablo eventually stopped laughing.
"You are one amusing person, to think you would have the audacity to come to my realm and seek equal partnership just because you are friends with such a being as the slime or shall I say, my future master? Kufufu." He seemed to know Rimuru and me, I guess he was watching us through his crystal ball.
I didn't start sensing him watching us until recently when I actively searched for it unlike when I first came here.
But to think he could watch me without me knowing until I look for it.
"You think Rimuru is more special than me or sum?" I question curiously.
I'm not jealous because I know my potential is just as great or even greater than Rimuru's.
"Why yes of course. To think he could swallow and analyze such a complex mask as that hero girl, even I couldn't break it. You just leech off his powers, kufufufu." He stated with amusement.
"Oh shut up, I'm just as powerful as him." I retort.
"Shall we test out that theory?" As soon as he finishes his words, he instantly appears in front of me with his claws barely inches away from my face.
Bending my back, back, I dodge the blow and immediately shoot him with my pistols.
But as soon as my bullets hit him, his body just faded away into thin air.
"Hm?" I look around confused.
Oh wait, one of his specialties should be illusions.
"Where am I? Am I there? Here?" His voice could be heard echoing from all directions.
I just look around inquisitively.
Let's try and use our speed to defend.
I wait patiently for him to attack.
After a few seconds of silence, he appeared in front of me but I reacted just as fast.
Putting my gun against his head.
"I win." I state.
"Do you?"
The Diablo in front of me disappears and I feel something against my neck.
"Checkmate." Diablo stated with a smile.
"Is it though?" I question with a smirk.
Right behind Diablo was another me pointing a gun at the back of his head.
"Kufufu, very well played." He praised me.
"Not bad yourself either." I reply.
We slowly put our weapons down and sheathe them.
"I accept." Diablo randomly stated.
"Huh?" I was confused.
"You're an interesting person, so I will partner myself with you for now." He stated mysteriously.
This bitch is probably using me to get to Rimuru, he probably knows that I know that he knows that I know.....
Ugh whatever.
"Bastard! What if I let my guard down and you killed me?!" I exclaim, this guy was treating my life as a joke.
"Oh shut up you mongrel. You know very well we weren't fighting with our full strength." He stated
Ok maybe we weren't going full strength but it's still dangerous.
And did he just call me a Mongrel?
When the hell did he ever use the word Mongrel?
This bastard!
"Did you just call me a Mongrel?! At least I'm not Guy's bitch." I retort with a evil smirk.
Diablo just raises his eye at me.
"Do you think such insults will anger me? Tsk, tsk, you must be really stupid." He states with a smirk.
This bastard! Why am I the one who gets angry?
OH I HAVE THE BEST IDEA!
"I'll tell that blue slime about how useless you ar-" As soon as I was about to finish my sentence, I was sent flying.
Getting up from the ground, I start to feel my jaw with my hands.
"Bastard broke it." I mutter while it slowly heals.
*BOOM*
Landing in front of me was diablo with a smiling face but his eyes were dead cold.
"We'll see if you make it out alive before you say anything." He stated with an evil smile.
"Ok ok hehe, let's just make a truce for now. I can sense your acquaintances coming toward here." I chuckle and tell him.
"Yes, they seem to be closing on our position. How do you even plan to get me out?" Diablo calmed down and asked curiously.
"Well, tada." I pull out a shrunked body but once I put Magicules into it, its size increased to match Diablo's body.
"Interesting you found a way to enter and exit the Under World and you also know how to leech off that supreme being's power." Diablos eyes gleamed with interest and mockery while talking.
"Hey! How do you know I didn't make it?" I question.
Even though it was Rimuru who made it, how would he know?
Was he spying the whole entire time?
"No I was not watching you, let's just say I analyzed your capabilities." He seemingly read my mind.
"Mhm, just hurry up before they get here." I just roll my eyes and hurry him.
He just nods and obtains his physical body, once he obtained it, he looked no different than before but I know he's probably gotten a little stronger.
"Well let's go"
I start running toward the exit with Diablo following me.
"NOIRR!"
I thought I heard a female screaming Diablo's name but we both just acted like we didn't hear it while chuckling.
Once we exited, I immediately closed the gate and stored back the materials for future uses.
"I thought I heard something, did you?" I jokingly question.
"Nope, I assume it was a hell goat kufufufu." Diablo replies.
"What's a hell goat?" I questioned confusedly.
"Oh never mind that, this shall be an interesting journey, kufufufu. Now go and take me to the supreme being." He orders me immediately.
"Bastard, I thought we agreed this is an equal relationship." I pointedly look at him.
"Why would I be on an equal level with a cat?" He questions.
"At least I'm not a pervert." I retort.
"What is a "pervert"?" He questioned confusedly.
"Whatever, we'll go to Rimuru later, first there's something I wanna check out." I ignore his antics and explain to him.
Diablo seeing I wasn't gonna budge on it, reluctantly agreed, it also seems as if he honors his word because he hasn't just run away.
We started to walk towards my last destination on this trip.
