Esmeralda chuckled. "Did it work?"

"Of course, "Shania smiled. "Then, he asked me to take care of myself and have fun."

"What about your mom?" Esmeralda asked. 

"I told her that I will not marry Gabriel for another month if she gets mad at me, "Shania grinned. "You see, in a month, my belly will be visible and she will be horrified if people know I got pregnant before marriage." Then she heaved out a sigh, "You see, my mother loves me a lot but she cares a lot about what people will say."
