Capítulo 22: Little fox and older fox
On the other side of the table, Liam was still laughing clutching his stomach. He looked at his older brother who was bored beyond words. It wasn't his fault that his brother wasn't there to see that amazing encounter.
"Bro, don't you think that she was funny?" Liam asked. "She shut Violet with just a single sentence. I swear I have never met such a savage woman before. Too bad, I can not see her face."
If he knew who rendered Violet speechless, he would begin worshipping that woman. All he could say was that the woman was amazing beyond words.
"I'm surprised that someone can shut Violet's mouth, " Ethan said rather blandly. He stirred his drink and sighed.
"Holy shit, that's her, " Liam whispered as his gaze fell on the teenage girl who collided with Violet initially. There was another woman who was wearing the same clothes as the one who put Violet in her place. "Isn't it Esmeralda Fox?"
Never in his wildest dreams had he imagined that woman to be Esmeralda Fox!
Ethan, who was looking at his face, immediately raised his gaze to look at a very beautiful and familiar face. His gaze softened and unknowingly he had a subtle smile on his lips.
"She looks even better in real life, " Liam commented.
"You know her?" Ethan asked.
"That's the nation's crush, " Liam scoffed. "Last year, she was nominated for academy awards. Imagine not knowing her?" Then, he looked at his older brother, "Don't tell me you didn't know about her?"
"I didn't know she was an actress until a few days ago, " Ethan muttered. His eyes were stuck on her face. He couldn't turn his eyes away from her. He was envious that he couldn't recognise her at first glance like his brother.
"Wow, bro, I have no words for you, " Liam said sarcastically. "Mind telling me, how did you end up knowing her?"
Oh, he might have forgotten to tell his brother that Rowan, their youngest brother, was a huge fan of Esmeralda Fox.
"I kinda liked her and asked her to marry me but she refused me, " Ethan sighed. He didn't romantically like her but as a person to person. Did it make sense?
Liam literally choked on air. "You–"
Ethan patted his back. "Easy, man."
When Liam recovered, he asked his brother in utter astonishment, "You asked Esmeralda Fox to marry you and she refused you? What on earth?"
"We had a drunken one-night stand, " Ethan confessed. "We didn't recognise each other."
"Just one word –wow." Liam clapped. He couldn't understand his brother at all.
"Where are you going, Liam?" Ethan said as he stood up to leave the table.
"To get an autograph, " Liam smirked. "Do you think she will give an autograph on my white shirt? Or on my abs? I think I will ask her on a date. She looks more beautiful in person."
"The hell you will, " Ethan growled.
"Stop me if you can, " Liam smirked. He approached Esmeralda and Ivy's table. When Esmeralda's eyes fell on him, he waved at her. "Hi, Miss Fox. You look gorgeous."
"Which Miss Fox are you talking to?" Ivy narrowed her eyes at him.
It was only now Liam noticed that both of them looked at each other's copy. The only difference was that the little Fox looked tall and lean while the older fox looked petite but hotter. Little fox was tall but too young for him while the older fox would help him tick off his brother.
"Ignore him, he is just here to flirt with you, " Ivy said, her eyes on the food. "You can do better than a man who is not willing to cut his wild hair."
Esmeralda choked on food while Liam choked on the air.
Esmeralda only offered him an apologetic smile and he had to return.
"You are back too soon, brother, " Ethan smirked.
"Can you believe she said I need to cut my hair?" Liam muttered. "Little fox is the real villain."
Ethan laughed at him. His eyes softened when he saw her stuffing food and her rant about getting overweight came to his mind. "Good."
And just like that Ethan Westburry had a very good opinion of a little fox.
