The Day of Oliver and Kiera's wedding.
Amber opened the door to Esmeralda's apartment and found it empty. She hadn't been feeling good since the morning and she came to check up on her friend.
Truth be told, Esmeralda's calmness was scaring her a lot. Everyone knew that calmness and Esmeralda fox never go hand in hand.
"Emerald?" Amber called out her name softly. As no one replied to her, she grew tense.
"Emerald?" This time there was panic in her voice and it was quite evident. Her heart was hammering in her chest but she was trying to not let her negative thoughts over take her rational mind. You know sometimes your thoughts come true and so she was trying to be positive.
"Dammit!" She cursed when she found Esmeralda's apartment empty. She called Hazel immediately.
"Haze, do you know where Emerald is?" Amber asked, trying to calm down. She was getting anxious with each passing minute.
"I might have an idea where she could be…" Hazel said, hesitatingly.
"Meet me at the venue quickly!" Amber said as she realised what Hazel was hinting at.
Meanwhile, Esmeralda had efficiently sneaked into the venue, wearing a black hoodie, black jeans a black baseball cap, and holding a baseball stick in her hand. Even if someone had not found her odd there, her all-black attire would give away. She was on the way to the groom's room to smash his head when someone pulled her away.
If she didn't crush his medulla oblongata and cerebellum and cerebellum into sauce, she wouldn't be Esmeralda Fox!
"What the hell!" Esmeralda growled when she was pushed away from there and the next moment she saw the eyes of her best friends who were there in a mask.
The question should be asked: how did she recognise them? It was as if she could feel their presence and also their eyes which were the reason why they were best friends.
Their parents were so uncreative that they gave them names according to the colour of their eyes. She had green emerald-like eyes and was named Esmeralda. Amber had amber eyes and Hazel had hazel eyes. It was as simple as that. And it was also the reason why they clicked so soon. It was their inside joke. And it was the reason why she recognised them too.
"If you are here to tell me that I will ruin my career! I don't care! I deserve an answer! Dammit, I loved him for three years and then he left without saying goodbye," Esmeralda burst into a fit of anger. She didn't want to stop today. She wanted to beat that man who dared to break her heart. Just how dare he break her heart?
"We are here to support you, not stop you," Amber said as she patted her back. "No one gets to break our best friend's heart."
"Exactly, let's set the venue on fire," Hazel announced.
Emerald sniffled. "I don't want headlines tomorrow saying Esmeralda Fox set the ex's wedding venue on fire. I don't want to go to jail for arson. I will just smash his head."
"The police will still arrest you." Amber kindly informed her. She was the most sensible of these four. If they went with Hazel's idea, they would be arrested for arson and if they went with Esmeralda's idea, they would be arrested for attempt to murder. In the end, they would be arrested. Thus, it was better to choose the way that would have less repercussions.
"Remember my husband is a government office," Hazel said, encouraging all of them. "He had some connections. I will bail you out."
Amber glared at both of them.
"You know what?" Esmeralda said as the most amazing idea in the history of ideas struck her. "I'm just going to do what villainess on TV does."
"What?" Both of them asked.
"Kidnap the bride." Esmeralda grinned.
"No!"
"Yes!"
Of course, the one to give a positive answer was not Amber.
