The next morning, the two of them woke up and started their daily activities. As Kate had promised, she will only follow Kyle occasionally, which meant that she only followed him thrice a week and spend the other four days by helping General Ryan around the base.

Time passed quietly.

Three months had passed since the first red rain and the third red rain didn't come. Kyle asked the researchers but they were all also confused as to why the red rain didn't appear. In any case, the red rain that didn't appear meant that they didn't need to worry about new species of giant mutated animals.

Just the existing species already caused enough headache.
