In the dark night sky, a Boeing 737 passenger jet takes to the skies.
The captain in charge of piloting the plane, George, is still as enthusiastic as the first time he took to the skies, concentrating on operating the plane's console.
The airline industry is growing rapidly these days, and although air travel is still a luxury, the number of passenger flights is increasing all the time.
This was the best thing that could have happened to George, who longs for the sky, who would have liked the airline to put him on extra shifts every day if he could, and never land the plane.
Although he put flying before everything else, George was still single after a failed marriage, and for him, anything that interfered with his work could be abandoned.
It's just that I can't help but be nagged by my worried sister Paige....
But as long as I'm on the air, she can't control me.
George thought.
"Joe, George! George!!!"
The co-pilot beside him urged George out of his reverie to head skyward.
"What's the matter? Lester? The plane is still climbing, this is no time to be distracted."
George looked at his co-pilot with some distaste.
Lester is good at everything, but he was a nervous man.
"Haven't I told you many times that being calm is a necessary quality for a pilot? If you're like this all the time, how can I trust you to sign your captain's recommendation?!"
"No, no... you, what... I..."
The co-pilot still looked alarmed and incoherently kept pointing his hand at the window.
George was surprised, he usually used the recommendation to calm Lester down quickly, but now it wasn't working? Had he seen God?
George turned his head in confusion and looked in the direction of his finger.
What caught George's eye was a white spot on the outside of the window, and when he looked closer, it was a cute little tabby kitten sitting in the void, almost at the same speed as the plane.
Really, it's just a kitten, what's so amazing?
"Oh my God!!!"
George, who finally came to his senses, gasped, the cute little tabby cat outside the window seemed to still be fluttering in the air, but now it was sitting inside the plane! Even though the plane was climbing, they were still flying at almost 500 km/h!
Just as George was stiffening up, not knowing what to do, the tabby suddenly turned its head, stared at him for a moment with its big green eyes, and then ....
And then gave him a smile.
George swore to God he actually saw the meaning of a smile on the cat's face, and even though the smile made the kitten look even cuter....
It was still all too weird!
I must be so tired I'm hallucinating! Looks like I'm going to have to rest for a couple of days after this landing....
George rubbed his temples, thoughtfully, then heard Lester next to him ask, with a sob, "George, are we going to die?".
Oh, shit, Lester could see it too, so it wasn't a hallucination!
George couldn't fool himself any longer and said in a choked voice, "Don't be scared, maybe I'm just going through..."
"But... that black horse, how it looks like the legendary mount of the Grim Reaper..."
"Horse? What horse? Isn't it a cat?"
George suddenly felt suddenly confused, as if he and Lester weren't seeing the same animal?
Lester's face got even worse when he heard that.
"The tiger-spotted cat was on the head of that black horse... Don't you see? A horse that big, skinny and bony, with a pair of bat wings... Am I the only one who's going to die?".
And as he said that, he broke down and screamed.
"Noooooooooooo! I don't want to die! I'm still young, I don't want to die!!!"
And Lester's screams, in turn, attracted the stewardesses outside, which then further affected the passengers on the plane, and before long, the whole plane knew and saw the cute little tabby kitten outside and the black horse that only a few people could see.
"Nya?"
?(=`?′=)?
Fish crouched over Shadow's head, cocking his head to the side and looking curiously at the crowd of humans in the booth.
"Nya!"
? (=`? ′=)?
After watching for a while, Fish, attracted by the lively atmosphere inside, jumped off Shadow's head straight into the plane, and used his spider-like walking technique to stand firmly on the glass of the plane's window.
The people in the plane had calmed down a bit when the cat and the black horse did nothing, but Fish's action made the cabin come alive again.
"Nya~"
? (=?w?=)?
Fish wanted to join them, but the thick glass prevented him from doing so, so the puss quickly swung his two little paws, leaving a trail of claw marks on the plane's windows.
The passengers in the cabin screamed even more violently.
"Nya?"
(=?w?=)
After entering the plane, Fish finally heard the screams of the people inside above the loud noise of the plane, and the objects being thrown at him but blocked by the windows, all telling Fish that he was not welcome by the people inside.
"Ha~!"
?(=`Д′=)?
Angrily, Fish bared his teeth at the people in the booth and jumped back on top of Shadow.
If they didn't like playing with Fish, then Fish didn't care! Hmph!
Fish patted Shadow on the head and, with a flap of his huge bat wings, the thestral rounded a corner and flew away from the plane.
All that was left was a group of frightened humans in the cockpit.
...
"Fish! Get up now!"
The next morning, Fish was asleep in his bed when Professor McGonagall called out to him.
"Nya!"
(=′Д`=)
Fish yawned profusely, then shook out his fur and transformed back into his human form.
"You've taken off your pajamas again!".
"I'm not comfortable in pajamas nya!"
?(?`w′?)?
Fish said matter-of-factly.
"Come on, get dressed and go to breakfast, the Weasleys should be here today and then you can go to Ron's house as a guest."
"Yes!"
?(?≧?≦?)?
Fish immediately jumped out of bed, and changed clothes.
"Wait!" Professor McGonagall yanked him to his feet, patting Fish's robes as she chattered, "Where were you last night? Why is there so much dust on your clothes?"
"Last night nya?" Fish scratched his head and thought, "Last night Fish rode through the sky riding Shadow."
(??w??)?
"Just for a ride?" Professor McGonagall eyed Fish suspiciously, "You didn't get in trouble, did you?"
"No, I didn't get in trouble! Fish has been good."
?(?`Д′?)?
"That's nice," said Professor McGonagall as she smoothed out Fish's clothes, then patted her on the head and said, "Come on, let's get some breakfast, Comey made you some dumplings today, they won't be good if they get cold."
"Yes!"
? (?) ?
Fish jumped out of the room and ran to the kitchen.
