Capítulo 270: Chapter 270: The Talk (Edited)

In the Headmaster's room, besides Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall was also waiting, after all, all the students involved in this matter were from Gryffindor and she, as dean, could not be missed.

"Minerva, you're here too." ?●ω●?

Fish saw the figure of Professor McGonagall and immediately pounced on her.

Professor McGonagall rubbed his little head and then turned her attention to Harry and the others with a serious expression.

Although Professor McGonagall's lion-like features had long since disappeared, her gaze was still sharp and majestic.

But Percy, being the Prefect and having dealt with the professors on a regular basis, wasn't under much pressure, the twins, being used to being naughty and having Dumbledore buy them a lot of things, were more relaxed, and Harry, knowing what was going on, wasn't reacting much either.

Only Ron and Ginny, with the Headmaster and Dean present and looking serious, and Professor McGonagall staring at them, were nervous.

"Don't be nervous."

Fortunately, at that moment, Dumbledore flashed a gentle smile to lighten the mood a bit.

He gestured to them, pointing to the chairs he had set up in front of his desk, and said, "Come sit here."

Harry and the others sat as they were told, before Dumbledore pulled a worn, black journal from a drawer and handed it to Harry.

"Do you have any printouts of this journal?"

Harry unconsciously reached out to take it, but didn't notice that Professor McGonagall looked a little nervous on one side.

On the other hand, Ginny, who had seen the diary, was a little confused, as she hadn't seen it before in her memory, but for some reason it looked familiar.

Unlike Ginny, Harry did recognize the diary, but it also looked familiar.

"Isn't this the diary Fish found a long time ago? I saw him take it into the Forbidden Forest earlier and let the magical creatures try to destroy it."

Harry scratched his head in confusion and answered truthfully, he had thought he had summoned them today to talk about Voldemort and the Chamber of Secrets, why was he suddenly asking about this diary?

Professor McGonagall froze slightly and then cupped Fish's cheeks.

"Why didn't you tell us about something so important? And, when did you take Harry to the Forbidden Forest?" asked Professor McGonagall sternly.

"Nya! Fish forgot!".

Fish propped himself up on the tips of his toes, tilted the pinched half of his face and argued loudly and righteously, "It's been so long, how could Fish remember something like that nya? And I took Harry to the Forbidden Forest because I wanted to see Aunt Kora."

"It's not like that!"

Harry denied loudly and quickly told the story of his two trips to the Forbidden Forest, forget about the secret right now, if he didn't explain it, he would be misinterpreted as a lecherous man!

"Harry speaks Parseltongue?!"

"Has Ron really been to the Forbidden Forest?!"

Percy had a completely different approach than the twins.

And then there was Ginny, who quietly nudged Ron and whispered, "That Centaur woman named Kora, is she pretty?"

Ron: "..."

"Ahem... May I ask what's going on with this diary, Professor?"

Harry saw the situation becoming confusing and hurried to redirect the conversation.

He had flipped through the diary in his hands curiously and found that, apart from the name written on the first page, there was nothing written in it.

Dumbledore did not answer his question, but instead turned his attention to Ginny.

Seeing this, Harry had a suspicion and dropped the diary he was holding on the desk and looked at Ginny as well.

"Ginny? have you seen this diary too?"

Percy and the others didn't know what was going on, but they could see it had something to do with Ginny and asked their little sister.

"I don't know..."

Ginny looked at the group with a confused look on her face and said uncertainly, "I don't think I've ever seen this diary, but I have a vague feeling that it looks familiar."

"That's because your memories have been tampered with..."

Dumbledore sighed and slowly told the story of the diary and the Chamber of Secrets.

Of course, he didn't mention the Horcruxes, as Dumbledore felt Harry was too young to push him too hard for now.

When Ginny's siblings heard Dumbledore's account, they were horrified.

"Oh, my God, you-know-who controlled Ginny!"

"And he made Ginny open the Chamber of Secrets!"

The twins' voices rose in alarm and Percy's face paled in fear as he looked at Ginny intently and kept asking if she was feeling ill.

Ginny was startled by Dumbledore's words, but since her memories had been tampered with, she didn't have much of a sense of reality and seemed a little bored.

The result was a shock to his siblings, who thought he had mental problems.

But Dumbledore soon calmed them down.

"Don't worry, gentlemen, there's nothing wrong with Ginny but memory problems, and I think Harry knows that better than anyone else, don't you?"

He winked his blue eyes playfully at Harry, who was watching from the side.

"Er... yes," Harry nodded, picking up the conversation, "I've been watching Ginny for a long time, and there's nothing wrong with her."

"So the reason you kept staring at Ginny before was because you already knew she was controlled by You-Know-Who?" Ron remembered that Harry had denied earlier that he liked Ginny.

"Yeah, but we hadn't caught You-Know-Who at the time, and we were worried about word getting out, so we didn't tell you" Harry shrugged a little apologetically.

Ron was fine with it, but Ginny looked a little disappointed.

"Well" Dumbledore continued, clapping his hands together, "I asked Fish to call you here to tell you that in the future, if you come across an object of unknown origin, it would be best to take it to your parents or a teacher first, otherwise it could have bad consequences."

"Si nya.

?︿?

Fish nodded with a sad face, "Minerva beat me up when she found out Fish hid the diary."

"Serves you right!" said Professor McGonagall with a grimace as she tapped Fish's little head.

Harry opened his mouth, but hesitated to speak.

He remembered how Fish had said he was going to scare Professor McGonagall with the diary.

Now that he thought about it, it was the fulfillment of his promise, wasn't it?

After explaining the matter, Dumbledore asked the Weasley brothers and sisters to leave the Headmaster's office first, as they needed some time to digest what they had just heard.

But Dumbledore left Harry Potter behind, and Fish ran to the side and began tossing the Sorting Hat.

"Harry," Dumbledore said, his blue eyes looking at him softly but seriously through his crescent-shaped glasses, "I must find out from you if you had any particular reaction when you touched this diary."

Harry froze, not knowing why she was asking, but answered truthfully, "Well, I had a strange sense of familiarity when I saw Fish take this diary out in the Forbidden Forest earlier..."

He suddenly remembered what Ginny had said earlier and tensed.

"Could it have been controlled by the You-Know-Who's as well?"

"No, no, no," Dumbledore waved his hand, pointing to the scar on his forehead and reminding his, "I think it's probably the magic Voldemort left in your scar in the first place."

Then Dumbledore added, "I'll have to check you again, just to be sure."

"Of course, I'm sorry to bother you, Professor."

Harry naturally agreed.

After a few more checks, Dumbledore was relieved to find that Harry had had no adverse reaction to the Horcrux.

"Well, Harry."

Dumbledore leaned his elbows on the table, clasped his fingertips together under his crooked nose and asked in a serious tone, "Have you thought about talking to sixteen-year-old Tom Riddle, aka Voldemort?"

Harry Potter: "!!!"
