Capítulo 115: Chapter 115: No Wrong Nickname (Edited)

"Scarhead, what's wrong with you today?"

Ron, who was in a good mood lately because he didn't have to go over books every day, grabbed his friend's shoulder and teased, "You've been keeping an eye on Fish, do you want to tutor him like the girls?"

"Trust me, if you do, you'll be torn to shreds" Ron shuddered as if he was thinking of some bad memory, "You don't want to know how terrible a crazy woman can be!"

Harry similarly shuddered at the thought of his Aunt Petunia and said, "Actually, I already knew that."

Only after saying this did Harry realize that the conversation had been sidetracked by his best friend and immediately added, "I'm not trying to argue with them about it, but...well...we're probably in trouble again."

Harry hesitated for a moment, thinking about the friendship they had struck up earlier, and decided to tell Ron about Fish and ask him to help him find a solution, ".... That's the point."

Finding a secluded place to tell the story, Harry covered his head helplessly, "Help me think of what excuse I should use to get Fish's invisibility cloak back."

"Erm..." At the mention of spiders, Ron felt a small shiver run through his body, he squirmed uncomfortably, not really caring, "It's just a fight against spiders, isn't it? Spiders are really annoying."

"Don't forget it's a Forbidden Forest! Can there be ordinary spiders in the Forbidden Forest?" Harry warned in a low voice, "And Fish said there are a lot of them, he's been chased himself.... What if Fish is accidentally hurt?"

Only then did Ron take it seriously and thought for a moment, "Just tell Fish you want to use it yourself."

"But I can't use it all the time... Besides, with Fish's nature, what if he doesn't even use the invisibility cloak and runs off looking for those spiders?" Harry said.

This was where Harry was struggling, if he didn't get the invisibility cloak back, he was worried that Fish would be in danger, if he did, it could put him in even more danger.

"So... Shall we go tell Professor McGonagall?"

"Are you insane?! How can we betray Fish?" Harry's eyes widened, "He's protected me from Snape before!"

"So...," Ron hesitated for a moment, but still suggested, "Why don't we try talking to Miss Ratteeth about it?"

An expression of embarrassment crossed Harry's face when he learned of Fish's frequent visits to the trapdoor, Hermione's excitement was still fresh in his mind.

Not to mention what Ron had just mentioned....

"You know how terrifying a madwoman can be... if you tell Hermione, she'll go absolutely mad." Said Harry firmly to Ron.

"Then I have no choice..."

Ron really had this concern, so when Harry objected, he had no choice but to spread his hands helplessly, saying he couldn't do anything.

"I see, no wonder you haven't seen Fish wandering around the castle at night, you lent him your invisibility cloak."

As the two scratched their heads and wondered what to do, a soft, familiar voice sounded behind them, startling Harry and Ron.

"Dum, dum, dum, Professor Dumbledore!"

The two looked back in horror to find that Dumbledore had appeared behind them at some point, his face calm as lake water, with no sign of happiness or anger.

Dumbledore had noticed that something was wrong lately, although Fish still went to the kitchen every day, and often brought Fluffy food, and even went to Professor McGonagall's office to have his homework checked, he seemed to disappear in the middle of the night.

Dumbledore had a lot to do and didn't have time to watch Fish all day, and with the cold weather a while ago, Fish had cut back on his walks, so, although Dumbledore thought it a bit odd, he didn't pay much attention to it, just assumed Fish was on another floor when he went out for his evening walk.

If he hadn't seen Harry and Ron hanging around today, he would have been piqued with curiosity and would have started peeping around, he wouldn't have found out that that little chap had been sneaking out of the castle for a long time and had gone off to fight the Acromantulas!

To tell the truth, Dumbledore had wondered if Fish would use the invisibility cloak when he gave it to Harry, but he thought there was no need to use it now that there was no one to stop him on his nocturnal excursions, and since it had been so long since he had tried to sneak out of the castle, Dumbledore let his guard down.

It turned out that the little man really was as unpredictable as a cat.

Dumbledore, who was deep in thought, had a very solemn expression, especially when he thought there would be danger in the fight between Fish and the Acromantulas.

Harry and Ron were scared out of their wits.

"Professor Dumbledore, I... I..."

Harry's head went blank and he couldn't say anything, and Ron didn't dare move under the pressure of Dumbledore's blue eyes.

Dumbledore returned his attention, regained his composure and smiled kindly at the two of them.

Harry and Ron suddenly went into a trance, the change in temperament was too quick, it was as if the dignified version of Dumbledore that had overwhelmed them at that moment was like an illusion.

"Friends are meant to help each other, aren't they?" Dumbledore winked at the two still in trance, and switched from the kindly old man to the playful old man, "I'll keep an eye on Fish, but, keep it a secret."

The succession of changes took Harry and Ron by surprise, who nodded blankly and only after Dumbledore left did they slowly come to their senses.

"What did Professor Dumbledore mean by that? Is it possible that Fish was being watched by Professor Dumbledore the whole time he was on his night out?" Ron thought of a possibility, but wasn't sure, and asked Harry for confirmation.

Harry, who had been watched by Dumbledore, confirmed Ron's suspicions, "Unlikely, Professor Dumbledore is the headmaster, he doesn't have that much time to watch Fish, he's probably just watching some specific areas of the school...like the room where Oesed's mirror was kept."

Harry shrugged and told Ron about the time he went to look at the mirror alone and ran into Dumbledore.

"You never told me that before!" Ron looked at him unsatisfied and then said, "So, wouldn't Professor Dumbledore have known that Fish had come through the trapdoor?"

"Most likely..."

At the mention of the trapdoor, Harry thought of Snape trying to steal the Philosopher's Stone, and suddenly realized that if his theory was true, there was no way for the Philosopher's Stone to be stolen.

"Which means that even if Snape finds a way to deal with Fluffy and Quirrell, it will still be discovered by Dumbledore, who is watching, so we don't have to worry about that!" Harry slapped his thigh, realizing.

"So just look at Snape trying to steal the Philosopher's Stone, and he didn't even show up when the dog bit him? That's..."

Ron searched his brain for words to describe what Mr. Headmaster had done, and finally agreed with Fish.

"No wonder Fish calls him a mean old man."

Realizing that there was no way the Philosopher's Stone was lost and that Professor Dumbledore was keeping an eye on Fish, Harry, who had been a little worried, relaxed completely.

With the added bonus of not having to go to the library every day to browse through books, Harry suddenly felt like the world had opened up.

"Come on, Redhead Number Four!" Harry grabbed Ron by the shoulder, "Let's go back to the dormitory and play a couple of games of Snap Explosive!"
