Capítulo 29: Chapter 29:Seven wooden heads
Rowan poured wind chakra into the Kusanagi Sword and rushed towards the puppet mage. The puppet mage began chanting something and a small fireball appeared in it's hand. Rowan body flickered quickly till he was in front of the puppet mage.
Before the puppet mage could react, Rowan slashed with the Kusanagi Sword straight through the puppet mage. He looked at puppet mage which figure became blurry and felt some heat coming from behind him.
A fireball smashed into Rowan from behind and he got caught on fire. A puff sound came from Rowan and a piece of wood was on fire and laying on the ground. Substitution Jutsu. Rowan looked at the puppet mage with sweat running down his forehead.
That was weird. The puppet mage wasn't fast enough for that to be an afterimage. It's like it was never there to begin with. He had a clue about what was going on but he had to make sure first. He looked around and spotted the puppet mage a distance away.
Rowan used wind chakra to activate the body flicker technique and disappeared from his position. He reappeared next to the puppet mage and slashed through it's neck. The puppet mage's figure became blurry again and he body flickered away again.
A ball of fire and a ball of ice smashed into the place that Rowan was before. He looked at the puppet mage that was pointing at him. This situation had Rowan slightly bummed out. He knew that the puppet mage was just a mirage but he couldn't figure out where the real one was.
Rowan placed his hands together and created two shadowclones to fight the puppet mage. Rowan activated his sharingan to see what happens. Although the puppet is a mirage, it needs energy from a source to be able to use magic.
Rowan looked at the energy flow in the air and finally found the source. If he didn't have the sharingan, he wouldn't have even be able to guess. He deactivated his sharingan again and placed his hands together for ten shadowclones.
The clones disappeared without a trace and Rowan waited for the final result. KABOOOMMMM!!!! The clones exploded inside the gate. A moment of silence passed by before he heard the annoying voice again. "Ninth round begin."
Rowan created two shadowclones and took a seat so that he could regain some chakra before the final fight. The two shadowclones each had a steel sword in their hands as they looked at the opponent that made it's appearance.
The two clones saw seven puppet snakes slithering into the arena. Something was weird about the snakes though and then they saw that there was only one huge tail. The snakes coiled up like a rope and the clones saw what was in front of them.
It was a seven-head hydra. The clones wondered whether they should disturb the main body but finally decided against it. The clones looked at each other before nodding. Crescent Moon X Slash. The clones slashed out with their respective swords.
The crescent moon projectiles made an X shape as they flew towards the snake. The snake just looked on as the projectile smashed into the wooden scales of the snake. There was a slight X mark on the wooden scales but that was all.
The clones looked at each other again. They could more or less figure out what the other was thinking and they already had a strategy. The first clone ran towards the hydra and it focused it's heads on the clone. The clone poured chakra into his legs and jumped.
The clone went high up into the air and aimed at the heads of the hydra. Wind Style: Crescent Moon Slash. A crescent moon projectile infused with wind chakra flew towards the hydra's heads. The seven heads of the hydra opened their mouths.
Fire, water, wind, lightning, acid, light, dark. Seven small balls formed in front of the hydra's mouths before being shot towards the crescent moon projectile. It smashed right through the projectile and headed straight for the clone.
The clone was blasted into oblivion but it gave the second clone the chance to strike. Monkey, Dragon, Rat, Bird, Ox, Snake, Dog, Tiger, Monkey. Suddenly the whole arena sounded full of birds and the next moment, the clone was in front of the hydra.
"Chidori!" the clone screamed as he smashed the ball of lightning chakra into the chest of the hydra, easily penetrating it's hard skin. The clone pulled his hand out of the hole he made with the chidori and body flickered back a safe distance away.
The clone looked on as the hydra trashed around as it struggled. The clone waited for the hydra's death but instead, one of the heads sent a ball of energy towards the hole. The hole began closing up at a visible rate and soon it was gone.
The clone identified the head as the one that shot out the ball of light. 'It must have healing properties,' the clone thought as he looked at the hydra. The head in the middle opened it's mouth and shot out a small ball of fire towards the clone.
The clone moved out of the way by twisting his body but the hydra sent out it's tail which smashed into the chest of the clone. The clone turned into a puff of smoke and vanished, leaving nothing but Rowan's main body and the hydra in the arena.
The hydra looked at Rowan, who was sitting in a lotus position. It opened all of it's mouths and seven balls of energy formed in front of them. It poured a lot of energy into the seven balls and they became bigger. They even merged to create a multi-coloured ball of energy.
The hydra aimed the ball at Rowan before shooting it at him. Rowan was sitting in the lotus position even though the massive ball of energy was leaking it's destructive aura. The ball came upon Rowan and smashed right into him.
The ball of energy exploded and left nothing alive in it's vicinity. The hydra looked at the place, where Rowan used to be, with it's puppet eyes. "Wow, it even destroyed the piece of wood," a voice came from the hydra's healing head.
