" I said I got it under control. Take her and head home!"

Kayla got off the phone and sighed. It's been so chaotic lately that she neglected everything aside from her work. She needed to finish work and take a few days' rest; even her Chief could understand that she needed some time off!

Samuel and Charles walked out without Jake, who would be spending the night in the cell as per his father's intentions. The talk went smoothly for now, but when Samuel met Delphina the next day, many things would be decided.

" Sir, I will take my leave. I have to report it to my boss, but I am sure he would agree to your demand." Charles bowed once again and left.

" Is everything over?" Kayla asked. They didn't know about the ruckus ongoing in the media.

" Mostly, but I don't think the police will be required anymore."
