Arnik left Sido's home and immediately left for school. He had lot of information that he had to process and he needed to decide how to execute his plans so he could achieve his goals.
Even though he had a lot of new information and techniques he had to learn his goals remained the same.
"Power, I need enough power to be able to overcome any challenge or barrier in my way. I just become an overwhelming force , I won't settle for anything less" he muttered to himself to reassure his conviction.
He arrived at the school a little before six'o clock and immediately went back to his dorm.He brought out the scrolls as well as the training schedule for his body that Sido had given him earlier and began reviewing his schedule.
"I need to allocate a certain amount of time to different fields to efficiently balance my schedule" he muttered to himself as he tried to create a plan. It took some time, but he eventually created a schedule that could fit all his activities.
He would wake up early to exercise and build his body after which he would attend classes. When classes were over he would then go to the library to study for about two hours.
After studying he would practice his stances for two hours before meditating and eventually going to sleep.
He stared at a piece of paper where he had written his new schedule .
" It's far from perfect and definitely needs a lot of tweaks here and there but it'll have to do for now.
My second year should be a lot easier since I only have to focus on a particular area of study".
Sido had told him that he would still participate in fights at the underground fight club as a form of combat training. He wouldn't be able to do it during the week but the weekends would be more than enough.
Arnik didn't mind fighting in the underground fight club, it gave him a chance to improve his combat prowess as well as earn some money on the side.
"Speaking of money " he muttered to himself as he pulled out a small black box he kept in his bag.
It was called a space box and the school had given it to every member of the elite class. It was a storage item that had a dimensional storage inscribed into it that allowed it to store far more items than its size would allow. The box could only be opened by its owner which it identified by scanning the Atephra. Just like Arnik, many other members of the elite class stored their most valuable possession's in their space boxes.
Their were a few exceptions though, the more privileged members of the class preferred to store their valuables in Space rings.
Space rings served the same purpose as space boxes the only difference being their portability. Also due to their rareness, Space rings usually had a lot more space to hold resources as compared to Space boxes. They were also a favorite among more experienced mages and as such they were more expensive . That was the reason why only a few members of Arnik's class actually had them.
Arnik brought his Atephra close to the box and it gave a faint sound before opening. He promptly lifted the lid and dipped his hand into the box to bring out its contents.
He brought out the money that Geiko had given to him for winning the fight .
The Lirdunia nation used the Syre currency as a means of exchange and it came in three forms , those were the 10 Syre notes, the 100 Syre notes and 1000 Syre notes.
Geiko had given Arnik a total of 150 Syre for winning the fight. It wasn't a lot when Arnik thought about it but it was better than nothing. Besides his still planned to earn more from fighting anyways.
"I wonder how I can earn more money from the fight club, I guess I'll just ask Sido when next I speak to him".
Arnik still hadn't forgotten what he had Olea had spoken about concerning the Soulrune, he needed to feed it more Magi-gear for it to level up and get stronger.
Also he had learnt that feeding the Soulrune certain Magic equipment gave it the ability to use the effects of those equipments, he had seen that trait after the Soulrune consumed the Magi-gear Olea had given to him to change his appearance.
After the Soulrune consumed that piece of equipment, he could easily replicate its effect and change his appearance to that of Brid.
"I wonder why I have to hide my real appearance and abilities from Sido as well, he's my teacher and I'm sure I'd be able to benefit more if he knew my other abilities. He's even Olea's brother but she insists I don't show him these things, I wonder why",
He thought about it for a while before giving up on the issue, he would trust Olea's decision and hope for the best.
He returned the money and the scrolls Sido had given him into the box before closing it and returning it to its original position.
He stood up from the floor where he was seated and climbed on his bed where he lay down on his back to look at the ceiling, the room was silent and his mind was blank .
After some time he tapped on his Atephra and the familiar window containing his stats popped up

He stared blankly at the screen in front of him, this was far from ideal. He definitely needed to get far stronger, so strong that no one would be able to oppress him or those that he cared about .
Reassuring his convictions once again, he waved his hand to close the screen in front of him and got out of bed to meditate. He could feel that he was close to increasing the level of his Lightning.
Olea had made him aware of his innate advantage to get stronger faster than others, but this was far from enough. Even though he could get stronger faster , he still lacked the resources and equipment that his classmates had at their disposal.
He decided to push all this to the back of his mind as he sat in a cross legged position and closed his eyes to meditate.
He opened his eyes and saw an ethereal version of himself in a vast white room. This vast white room was his mind's representation of his Soul space and he had been able to access it ever since he activated his magic circuit.
The process of increasing one's elemental affinity level involved an individual collecting mana from one's environment, filtering it and converting it mana unique to that individual's affinity.
This process was usually hard at first due to various reasons.
First their had to be sufficient man in the environment for an individual to collect, certain areas were higher in mana density than others and this density directly influenced how much stronger an individual could become and how faster it would be for him .
Arnik had never had a problem in this aspect, apprentice and primary mages generally didn't need a lot of mana to move to higher levels .
The mana they would need would heavily increase once they got to secondary mages, but even then it wouldn't be a problem for Arnik.
The school ground was very high in mana density, this was so that the students would always be in an environment that would encourage their growth, plus with the help of his Soulrune he was able to not only be able to collect a ridiculous amount of mana from the environment very quickly but to filter it and strengthen both his affinities at a much quicker rate.
The filtering of mana collected from the environment and the conversion of that mana to one's individual affinity was usually hard at first but with enough practice it would became a very simple process, in fact the process would become autonomous once a mage mastered it.
It was a little trickier for mages who had two elemental affinities from an early age because they would require double the amount of mana that a regular mage with one affinity would need in other to develop.
Also they would be forced to learn how to convert mana from the environment to suit both elemental affinities at a very early age, that was one of the major reasons mages with dual affinities from birth were usually considered prodigies because they hard to work twice as hard to keep up with their peers.
With all this in mind , Arnik stared at the two balls of energy that had steadily been growing in his Soulspace since he activated his magic circuit.
Initially , there had only been a small ember flame burning at the center of this empty space , but a lot had changed since then.
