"It's because we stopped that experiment before too long after that. In fact, you were only injected with a single dose of it after you were declared completely cured of that illness of yours." Grandfather Harvey lowered his eyes as a dry smile made its way to his lips.

"Why?" Li Yang's voice rang. He had an inkling of the reason behind this and he just wanted to make sure of it. 

"Because of two incidences." Grandpa Harvey sighed before continuing, "Firstly, one of the men working on it with us got greedy for power mid-way and stole some samples and secretly injected himself with the blood. When we came to know about this, we ran to stop him, but it was too late by then and he died horribly right in front of our eyes. Apparently, he had mixed up the numbers and made a slight mistake in the diluted product that he prepared."
