They finally arrived at the police station. Grayson grabbed Lucy's hand as she was about to follow her boss.
"What? I don't want to miss such a great show." She looked at him, puzzled.
Grayson exhaled a sigh. He couldn't figure out why she was so enthusiastic about Angelina's love life. Yes, he was there to watch the show, but the main reason he was there to spend time with her.
"We can't be the third wheel in this situation." He placed his finger on his chin as if he was deep in thought.
"We can sneak a peek at them." With that, he drew her in and they both hid behind the door to watch the show.
Andrew was sitting in his usual spot. Then he caught a glimpse of someone he wished to see.
When Angelina walked into the police station. She'd already noticed Andrew, who was sitting there like a lost child. She didn't feel sorry for him after seeing him like this. She was not like the others who were taken in by such childish tricks. 'Humph'
She went straight to the chief officer to find out what had happened.
KNOCK, KNOCK!
The chief officer was working on his cabin when he was interrupted by a loud knock.
"Please come in."
He noticed a woman enter his office. He was perplexed because she had a distinct aura that was difficult to ignore. Angelina sat directly across from him.
"I'm here to help the person who has made your police station their home," Angelina explained.
The chief officer initially didn't understand what she was saying. Then Andrew's face flashed through his mind. His eyes light up with the thought of finally being able to get rid of that sticky chew gu... ahem, Andrew.
Angelina noticed the sparkle in his eyes. She began to consider what kind of chaos Andrew had caused.
"You can take him with you, Miss. There is some paperwork that must be completed." The chief officer was extremely helpful.
Angelina raised an eyebrow at his enthusiasm. She was now certain that Andrew had done something 'bad.' (Um... sitting quietly on a bench isn't such a bad thing.)
"Officer, Let me clarify something. First and foremost, Andrew had bothered you and wasted your time by failing to inform his manager. Second, he must have violated some law, which is why you brought him here. He must pay for his mistakes. So, please charge him in accordance with the law. I brought his manager with me, and he will pay the penalty fee."
She stood up and said, "Thank you officer for not beating him; if I were in your position, I would give him a good beating and lock him up." She then walked out of the room.
The chief officer was surprised. It took him some time to come to his senses. He became emotional when he realized that there were some people who actually follow and respect the law. He began to admire her as well.
Angelina was completely unaware that she had gained the admiration of someone. She approached Andrew and sat down beside him.
Andrew's gaze was fixed on Angelina; he didn't even blink. He felt as if he were in a dream, and one blink would shatter such a beautiful dream.
"Was it enjoyable?" Angelina was the one who finally broke the silence between them.
Andrew hugged her instead of answering her question. "I'm having a terrible day." He said in hushed tones.
He said it as if he had been badly bullied today.
Angelina reached out to push him, but after hearing him, she let him do whatever he wanted.
After some time, it appears that Andrew had no intention of breaking the hug. "Could you please allow me to take a breath? You've already taken advantage of the situation."
Andrew finally let her go.
"Why?" This was the real question she wanted to ask him.
He averted his gaze from the question. Andrew began to look everywhere except Angelina's eyes. He can avoid her gaze, but he can't possibly avoid her presence. "I really have a bad day," he sighed. I don't want to leave this place because I was hoping for some good luck from you. After all, you are my lucky charm."
Angelina rubbed the space between his brows after hearing his childish excuse of spending all day in a police station.
After hearing his childish excuse of spending the entire day in a police station, Angelina rubbed the space between his brows.
"You can call me to come to get you from here. Perhaps I could make time in my busy schedule to pick you up." If he had asked, she would have come to pick him up from the police station. She's not exactly nice. The reason is simple: she can use the situation to put him to the test. Is he overcoming any psychological barriers by seeking her assistance?
"You said you were going to court me as your girlfriend. Is this how you intend to court me? I wouldn't be surprised if you suggested a dinner date at the police station." Angelina was full on sarcastic mode.
"You should feel sorry for me." Andrew displayed the red bump on his head that had been hidden behind his hair. "I was in an accident, which is how I wound up in the police station."
Angelina didn't have any sympathy for him. She began to feel tired. "Go ask your manager to clean up the mess."
Andrew became perplexed. He began to look around but was unable to locate his manager. "They're hiding behind that wall," Angelina noticed his action.
That's when he noticed Grayson and Lucy spying on them from behind the wall. He cocked his brow and shook his head. 'What are they doing acting like paparazzi?'
Andrew stood up and approached them. Lucy and Grayson realized they had been caught red-handed and came out of hiding. Grayson had a smug grin on his face. He could tell Angelina didn't sympathize with him.
Andrew narrowed his eyes and fixed his gaze on them. "When did you make the decision to change jobs? It appears that you enjoy spying on your bosses."
Lucy was not offended by the sarcastic remark; instead, she gave him a pitiful look. "Instead of being concerned about our profession. You should clean up your mess right away. Otherwise, Angelina will abandon you here."
Andrew looked at Grayson as if he wanted him to clean up his mess. Grayson could only curse his luck for having such an artist.
