Capítulo 96: Alone

The next day arrived. Chiaki blinked to chase away the sleepiness that still hung heavy on her eyelids. Her bed felt big and empty without a certain someone who occupied it. Normally, she also slept alone when she was back in the South Manor.

But give a thirsty man a drop of water and he will want a bucket. 

That's how intoxicating love was to her. For a repressed person the entire time in the Dome and heavy baggage of the past with doomed relationships, it was normal for her to reject love and be disgusted by the notion of it.

Until she met Lance Hua and the cracks of her heart were pieced back together with his magical glue, just like how he repaired the blown-glass sculpture of the manor. How could she still remember it? It was just broken glass.

It had Lance Hua's signature all over it, though. It was the first thing he did out of his own volition for Chiaki, no matter how insignificant it was for her.
