Walking into his family home, Roman and his crew were exhaled. No one had slept that night, and hearing Remi's painful cries through the corridors had everyone rethinking their lives.
When he stepped foot in the doorway his mother came barreling toward him.
"You ungrateful child! I can't believe—"
Holding his hand up to stop her, he just trudged past. "Not now mother."
When she looked at her husband and daughter who followed behind him, she gasped. "Remi, are you all right?"
"Momma!" she cried, running to her.
Patting his daughter's head as she fell into her mother's arms, Emilio looked at his wife with sadness. "I think she needs her mother right now."
"Of, course. Come, baby. Let's take you to your room. Luke, why don't you go set up in the guest's room?"
"Thank you, Sophia."
