Capítulo 61: CHAPTER SIXTY-ONE

"I can't believe you guys made me do this! Max is going to be furious when he finds out that I'm not at home!" I shouted totally freaking out. My insides were churning at just the side of seeing Max angry. I knew that I should have said no from the beginning, but it was just too tempting.

I was tired of staying at home and only in a bed, being treated like a child was something I couldn't stand. I needed to be active. Do something proactive. "Don't be dramatic. It's just a bar." Zoë grabbed my hand and dragged me inside. "Is it that bad for us to have a girl's night out?"

She turned to me with a pout and made me feel a pang of guilt. It wasn't like I was going to drink and be on my feet all night. I sighed doubtfully with a hand running through my hair. "Fine but if Max finds out. I'm going to say that you three blackmailed me."

Chloe rolled her eyes at me and chirped. "Let's go sit on that table." She pointed at the table right in front of the stage and I frowned. They were acting strange since the afternoon. My guts were telling me that they were after something and I'm eager to find out what.

We followed closely behind Chloe and started to take seats. "Why don't you sit there?" I stood up slowly from my seat in confusion. Why did they wanted me to change from seat? I shrugged it off and sat on the chair with a perfect view of the stage.

"Goodnight, ladies and welcome to the gold rush. My name is Frank, and I'll be your waiter for tonight." A young boy dressed in waiter clothing introduced friendly. "Here's the menu. When you're ready just give me a call."

"Thank you." I thanked him as I took the menu in my hands. The girls doing the same. I opened the menu and scanned through it, my mouth watering at all the food variations. "What are you girls having? I'm thinking about the southern pizza or the patty melt. I can't decide." I closed the menu and put it on the table.

"Ohm good choice. but I'm between the bean rolls and the sandwiches." Chloe sighed and went back to flipping through the menu. "I think I'm going with the beef bean roll."

"I already made my choice. I'll have a chicken Caesar wrap." Zoë closed her menu and put it on the table. "What do you want Melchu?" She turned to ask Melissa who was sitting next to her. "Found anything you like to eat?"

Melissa shook her head and scanned through the menu again. "I just can't pick one." She groaned and slammed the menu close. "I think I'll just have a burger." Zoë nodded and lifted her hand, calling for our waiter.

"Yes ladies, ready to order?" He stood with his pen and note, ready to take our orders. "Yes. I'll have a chicken Caesar wrap and a coke." Zoë said slowly so Frank can have some time to write down everything.

"I'll have a beef bean roll with a sprite please." Chloe closed her menu and put it on the table as Frank wrote down her order. "I'll have a classic burger with extra fries and a coke." Melissa ordered as she gave him the menus. "I don't want pickles and tomatoes in my burger thanks." Frank nodded and wrote it down.

"And for you miss?" He asked me with a raised eyebrow as he tapped with the pen on his note, waiting for me to answer him.

"Huh?! Oh me. Sorry." I snapped out of my daze and turned to look at Frank. "I want a southern pizza and a patty Melt with extra fries and a large drink. Anything but alcohol and soda." I smiled thankfully at him and ignored the shock stares they were giving me. "What? I'm a very pregnant mama with three babies inside of me. Let me eat!" Everyone on the table burst out laughing, including Frank

The first thing I did when my food came was digging in, slurping from my big drink happily as I munched on my fries. We chit chat here and there and laughed in between as we ate. The bar was full of people having a great time and there was even a band playing soft music, giving the bar a chill feeling.

"I'm stuffed." I leaned in my seat and patted on my stomach with a big grin on my face. "I've never ate so much in my life." I grabbed my drink and slurped on it.

"The food was amazing. God bless." We all nodded in agreement and started to chit chat after that. Soon after Frank came and went with our plates and empty glasses.

"Ready to leave?" I asked the girls just as the lights went off, screaming echoing through the bar. What the hell is happening?" The lights on the stage went on and the curtains that were once open were now closed.

A soft music started to play in the background as the curtains slowly started to open. "A hundred and five is the number that comes to my head. When I think of all the years I wanna be with you. Wake up every morning with you in my bed. That's precisely what I plan to do." That voice. I knew that voice so well. It made my heart skip a beat every time I hear it.

The person started to walk closer to the front. He was wearing a white tux with a red rose in his hand and a mic in the other. "And you know one of these days when I get my money right. By you everything and show you all the finer things in life. We'll forever be in love. So there ain't no need to rush. But one day I won't be able to ask you loud enough."

He jumped off the stage and walked toward me, the light following him as everyone in the bar stared at the scene folding in front of them in awe. "I'll say will you marry me. I swear that I will mean it. I'll say will you marry me singing. Woah oh woah, woah oh woah, woah oh woah oh oh."

He ran the single flower across my cheek as he sang to me, his eyes never leaving mine. "How many girls in the world can make me feel like this? Baby I don't ever plan to find out. The more I look. The more I find the reasons why. You're the love of my life."

My eyes were filled with tears. Not believing what was happening. I never in a million years thought that Max would propose to me and since when did he sing? My heart pounded hard against my chest, my body shaking. "And you know one of these days when I get my money right. By you everything and show you all the finer things in life. We'll forever be in love, so there ain't no need to rush. But one day I won't be able to ask you loud enough."

"I'll say will you marry me. I swear that I will mean it. I'll say will you marry me." He made me stood up from my seat and pulled me toward the stage, walking toward the chair in the middle of the stage and made me sit on it. "And if I lost everything in my heart it means nothing 'Cause I have you. Girl, I have you. So, get right down on bended knee." He bended on his knee and stuck his hand with the rose in it out. "Nothing else would ever be. Better, better. The day when I say."

I took the rose out of his hand with my shakily hand and stared at him. "I'll say will you marry me. I swear that I will mean it. I'll say will you marry me." He whirled around the chair as he sang to me romantically, making my heart skipped more than two beats. "I'll say, will you marry me? I'll get down on one knee."

He got on his knee and stared at me with eyes full of love. "A hundred and five is the number that comes to my head. When I think of all the years I wanna be with you. Wake up every morning with you in my bed. That's precisely what I plan to do."

I swear that I will mean it. He pulled a box out of his pocket and extended forward, popping it open, my hands went flying toward my mouth to suppress the sobs from escaping my mouth. "Will you marry me?"

"Alexandra?!" I curled up more on the restroom floor as I sobbed my heart out. Why was I crying? This is what I wanted since I was a little girl. I wanted to be married to the guy I love and live happily ever after with my husband and kids. So why was I freaking out? "Alexandra babe! Open up!"

"I can't." I shook my head to myself as I rocked my body back and forth. "I can't do this." I leaned my head on my arms as I trembled slightly from the sobs escaping my mouth.

"What do you mean you can't? Alexandra open up or I'll break the door down!" Max roared as the bang on the door became more frantically. It only took a second for Max to break the door down and barged in like a mad man.

When his eyes met mine, it slowly turned into his soft golden ones. "Alexa..." He kneeled in front of me and touched my face, making me look up at him.

"I'm sorry." I'm a mess of a person. I can't even understand me. I wanted this but at the same time it all seems like a dream to me. Maybe that was the reason I was scared? Scared that this may be a dream and that in reality none of this happened?

"It's okay." He wiped my tears away with his thumb and pulled me into a hug. Why me? Why would he want to marry him? Just because I was having his babies? I cringed at the thought of him only wanting to marry me because I was pregnant.

"Why?" I cracked out. My eyes were focused on him as I cocked my head to the side to stare at him better. I wanted to see for myself that he wasn't lying. That he was serious about wanting to marry me.

"Why? You're really asking me that? I love you. I have loved you since the first day I laid my eyes on you. In that moment I knew that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. I knew that this day would come and that I would be the happiest man in the world just to have you in my life. Marry you because you were pregnant never crossed my mind."

"I wanted to marry you because I can't see a life without you in it. I want to make you the happiest woman in the world just like you made me the luckiest man in the world. You're everything I've ever asked for." I lunged myself at him and clutched on him for my dear life.

"Now that I finished my rant would you finally say yes?" I burst into tears as I nodded my head repeatedly, pulling away from him. He took my left hand and slid the ring on my ring finger, fitting perfectly.

"Can you help me up now?" I cry-laughed and stuck my arms up as Max pulled me back on my feet. "Thanks, and I'm so so sorry for freaking out like..." He put his lips on mine to cut me off and it worked. My eyes fluttered close, and I tightened my arms around his neck as I melted into his arms.

Hands clapping made me pull away from Max with a red face. I shook my head with a chuckle and hid my face into Max chest. "Awe. You guys are so cute." The girls squealed as they sighed dreamily. "The things he said. Awe." I rolled my eyes at them for spying on us and gasped, my mouth dropping wide as I lingered my eyes to the ground.

Don't. Don't panic. It's just a false alarm. I took a deep breath and calmed myself down. "How about we go have some drinks and have a great time?" I offered my best smile after composing myself and walked toward the girls.

"Yeah. Let's go have fun." They cheered as we walked back to our table. Frank came as soon as he saw us and asked us if we wanted something to drink. We stayed in the bar for like an hour and decided that it was finally time to go home.

I breathed out in relief and stood up. The pain hasn't left since the restroom, and I was starting to get worried. What if it wasn't a false alarm? What if the... "Alexandra?" Max spoke into my ear with worried in his voice.

I turned to offer him a smile. "I'm fine. Can we go now?" He nodded his head and led me out of the bar. The pressure on my lower abdomen kept increasing and I couldn't hold it for much longer. My insides were tearing appeared and it was only minutes before I burst into a feral cry of pain.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Max asked again as he opened the car door for me. I nodded my head again and got inside as Max closed the door, rounding the car and made his way to the driver door. I breathed out calmly and rubbed my stomach, leaning in my seat. The pressure in between my legs was making it hard for me to sit straight.

We drove away from the bar and made our way to the pack house. Max got a call from Christopher on our way home, saying he needs to go to the pack house urgently. I sighed quietly and leaned my head against the window, the pain no longer bothering me. See? It wasn't a big deal.

Max parked the car in front of the pack house and turned off the engine. "We're going to stay here tonight, okay? You just rest while I talk to Chris, okay?" He brushed my hair away from my face and leaned my head toward him, planting a kiss on my forehead.

He pulled away from me and got out of the car, pushing the door close. I inhaled deeply and put a brave face as Max opened the door for me, pulling me out of the car. "Do you want me to call Christina to keep you company?"

"No. I think I'll head straight to bed." He nodded his head and led me inside. "Go. I'll be fine." I gave him a kiss and headed to our room. I opened the door and got inside, closing the door slowly behind me as I turned on the lights.

I took off my accessories and put them on the nightstand as I started to take off my clothes, kicking my shoes off. I got inside of the bathroom and slid the shower door open, getting in as I slid the door close. I turned on the shower and got under it, wetting myself from head to toe.

"Hey boy don't you know I got something going on. I've got an invitation don't you keep me waiting all night long. I know. You know. So baby don't., pretend you won't, keep me guessing if you. You will or you won't. Don't wanna play that game with you baby. So listen to me." I soaped my body until I was covered in bubbles and washed the soap away.

"All I want is you. Come over here baby. All I want is you. You know you make me go crazy. All I want is you. Now baby don't be shy. You better cross the line. I'm gonna love you right cause all I wanna do. Come on over, come on over baby. Ohh...yeah yeah. Come on over, come on over baby." I turned off the handle and slid the shower door open, pulling the towel to cover my body before getting out.

I dried my body off with the towel and stepped out of the bathroom into the walk-in closet. I pulled the drawer open and put my panties on, letting the towel fall. I closed the drawer and put my nightgown, petting my stomach. I went to pick up the towel from the ground when one of the contractions I've been ignoring hit me a thousand times stronger.

I felt on my knees with my hands clutching at my stomach as I let out a feral growl. Another pain hit me and I stumbled forward, my hands holding, me from hitting the ground. I squeezed my eyes shot and gritted a scream through my teeth. "Ah!"

Hold on dear. This will soon be over. I crawled toward the drawers and tried to pull myself up, my feet giving up underneath me. I gritted my teeth and in all my pain I pulled myself up and onto my feet, holding on until I got out of the closet.

I leaned against the wall and panted hard as the pressure in between my legs returned. I moved my head slowly in between my legs and into my panties, my hand freezing when I touched something. My breathing hitched up and a wave of fear washed through me as I pulled my hand slowly out of my panties, raising it in front of my eyes.

"Blood." I widened my eyes and gulped down slowly, my mind slowly registering the link between Max and I. Max. I started to say as I tried to calm myself down.

I'm in the middle of something. Are you okay? Max worried voice filled my mind.

"I'm scared. Please come." The mind link between Max and I was cut by another contraction who hit me hard again, making me fall on all four. I cried out in pain as black dots blurred my vision. "Stay awake." I scowled myself through my gritted teeth.

My hands gave up and I felt on my side, my breathing too hard that it was giving me a heard time to breath properly. My head was spinning, and it was hard for me to keep my eyes open for too long. Lia? Help me.

I fainted slightly as the door burst open. A pitch scream could be heard in the background as a strong pair of arms picked me up from the ground and placed me on the bed. "Call the pack doctor! If he isn't here in two minutes, you're both dead." Max shouted at someone in the background before touching my forehead.

"Max." I moaned in pain as I moved my head to the side in distress. "Max."

"Shh. You're going to be okay." He whispered into my ear as his fingers caressed my face slightly.

"No. The babies are coming Max." I breathed out heavily as I licked my dry lips. "I know. Everything is going to be okay." He kissed my forehead and interlaced our hands together. "Just stay awake."

I gulped out breathless as I turned my head to look at him. "I'll try." I blinked my dropping eyes tiredly as the door opened. Lila walking through the door with a nurse alongside her.

"Maximinus. I came as soon as I could." She said putting her things on the nightstand. "I need to see if her cervix is fully dilated." Lila put her gloves on and kneeled in front of me, raising the nightgown until it reached my hips and took off my panties with a gasp. "This is not good."
