[The Abyss has been impressed with your growth.]
[The Abyss has given you a gift]
[Abilities Gained:]
[Eldritch Apostle: You are able to name someone your apostle, who will then spread your name across their planet
[Eldritch Nature: You now have an eldritch nature surrounding your body. When this ability is active, all beings on an unclaimed planet shall be drawn to worship you. Note: requires a certain number of apostles depending on planet size.]
[Eldritch Corruption: You are able to corrupt a planet that worships you to have an Abyssal nature. This will not kill a planet, but instead make it stronger. The beings of said planet shall become your kin.]
Oh? I was sitting on my throne playing around with a miniature galaxy, and suddenly I got a gift! Thank you abyss! It doesn't seem to be too useful right now, but who knows what the future may hold! I'm gonna assume I can't use it on Tensura because it's in Veldy's realm. Still, I can probably name a few people as apostles. I guess that goblin girl and her family will serve a purpose after all. I could name my priests as apostles, but I feel like that would make it feel less special to be named one.
After all, if everyone is special, no one is. Milim is coming over today to go to restaurants with me. I've changed my form so the citizens don't freak out when we go there. I'm about the same height as Milim but with red hair, and a more beautiful face than cute, unlike her. I've got on the same toga, but longer than usual. Milim flies over towards my territory and slams into the little landing pad I had created after several craters were formed near the temple.
She looks at me and says,
"WOW! YOU LOOK LIKE MY LITTLE SISTER!"
I made a minor miscalculation. I'm slightly shorter than Milim. Dammit. She'll never let this go. I look at Milim and see that she's still wearing her iconic revealing outfit from the manga and anime. I create a lolita-style dress and throw it to her,
"Here, wear this. I don't wanna attract attention while we're out."
Milim salutes me and says,
"Alright, little sis!"
Oh boy this is gonna be a long day.
After changing into the dress, Milim and I teleport out of the temple area and into an alleyway so we attract less attention. Milim grabs my hand and says,
"So, where we going?"
I smile at her and start leading her down the street towards that bakery I told her about. She looks around my city with stars in her eyes. I don't blame her, my city is by far the most advanced one on the planet. Well, except maybe Rudra's, but I don't really remember much about the empire.
We have "electricity" which is basically just magicules running through a wire to power magic stones. Little known fact, magisteel glows when you put magicules into it. So, we use small pieces of magisteel as lightbulbs.
We also have plumbing, so the cities and towns are cleaner and healthier. Because of how nice our boarding houses are, we don't really have a problem with caring for the homeless. The guards patrol the streets and back alleys, so crime is relatively low, with most of it being petty theft and fights. Just recently, a dwarven inventor came to Abyssia and started working on an idea he's had. Basically, It's a carriage that runs on magic instead of horses. He wanted to call it the magicarriage, but I suggested we just shorten it to car.
We also just started creating radios and television, and the inventor from before is trying to look for ways to get to space. I told him to tackle one thing at a time.
So, my country feels like fantasy steampunk sort of. Just without the steam.
Milim and I finally arrive at the bakery. I order a sweet roll for Milim and a coffee cake for me. Milim's eyes go wide as the human waitress brings out a big roll covered in white icing. My cake is relatively small compared to hers, being half its size. Milim is about to grab the roll with her hands before I stop her and point towards the fork she was given. She grumbles and grabs the fork before using it to cut off a piece of the roll and put it in her mouth.
Immediately, stars form in her eyes. She quickly eats the rest of the roll in seconds while I calmly finish my cake. I leave a tip for the waitress and take Milim out of the bakery,
"SERA! WHAT WAS THAT! THAT WAS THE BEST THING I'VE EVER EATEN!"
I smile at her and say,
"That was a sweet roll! Be glad someone didn't steal it from you, the guards would make fun of you!"
"Nuhuh! If anyone stole it from me, I'd catch them myself!"
"I was just making a joke, dork. If you thought the sweet roll was good, just wait!"
I'm taking her to my favorite sweets place, Mama's. Mama's is a chain sweets shop that started a few centuries ago. They're really popular because the food is cheap enough for orphans to buy with their government allowance, and 95% of profits they make is donated back to said orphanages and the boarding houses. I remember the founder, Mama Rollsworth. She was rather portly, and had an aura of kindness around her. Everyone loved her, but unfortunately she was a human. She died a few years after starting the shop, but her family has kept her legacy going.
We get into the shop and get into line behind the kids. It takes a few minutes with Milim moving around more than the kids in front of us. The hobgoblin girl in front of us smiles and asks,
"Welcome to Mama's, what can I get for you?"
I smile and say,
"We'll get one box of honey taffy, a block of vanilla honey fudge, and a block of peanut butter fudge with one large cup of sweet milk, and a small cup of black coffee."
She nods her head and goes over to the display, pulling out what I ordered and giving us one large box and two smaller boxes. She then gets a large cup and pours some sweet milk in it, and then tells me the coffee will take a while to brew. I take Milim over to one of the empty tables and tell her to try out the taffy first.
"Kay!"
She takes out a single wax paper wrapped piece of taffy, unwrapping before popping it into her mouth. Again, stars. May as well call this girl the Hollywood walk of fame cuz goddamn. She starts grabbing multiple pieces of taffy and throwing them into her mouth, but I stop her before she can get half the box in her mouth,
"Milim! Jeez. You've still got some fudge to try, and a drink as well. And, if you eat all of these now, you won't have any to take with you."
She gets a shocked look on her face,
"*Gasp* You're right! What do I do?!"
I chuckle and say,
"Don't worry, I'll buy you a few more boxes later. For now, try out the drink."
My coffee arrives soon after, and Milim takes a sip of the milk. She drinks the warm milk with a satisfied smile on her face and then takes a bite of the fudge. Milim seems to melt as she eats and drinks and says,
"Seraaaaaaa… Why didn't you tell me your kingdom was so awesoooooome…"
I smile at her and finish off my coffee,
"You never asked."
I chuckle as she looks at me with a pouty face. The rest of our day continues on, with us visiting my favorite restaurant. After we finish our little outing, Milim and I head back to my temple.
"Sera, thank you for the daaaaaate!"
Milim flies off after saying that. I yell after her, knowing she could hear me,
"You're welcome! Next time I'll cook for you!"
What a dork.
