Capítulo 26: The Devil Doesn't Need Anyone!
They gazed at each other, and Diana found herself stuck in a daze.
He was always the same and never changed. The most beautiful man she used to know was still the same, but unfortunately, this time they were enemies.
She chuckled pessimistically within her, and Lorenze's eyes narrowed into a thin line.
"What is your name?" He abruptly asked, and Diana's expression instantly altered into an annoyed one.
"Diana." She replied, and Lorenzo slightly nodded his head.
"Diana..." He repeated the name and slowly stood up from the couch.
He ambled towards her, and once they were only two inches apart, he gazed down at her small figure, which caused a smirk to form on his face.
"You're pretty short."
Diana's eyes widened in shock the moment Lorenzo's sentence escaped his mouth, and she stared at him, unable to say anything.
"Short...?" She asked just to be sure she heard him right, and Lorenzo nodded his head.
"Yes, you're shor-"
"No, I am not! You're just too tall. Don't come and call me short while you're the one who is just too tall! I am even taller than your sweetheart!"
She scoffed, and finding her actions quite amusing, Lorenzo found himself almost chuckling.
Who was she? This was the first time a woman had ever behaved in such a way around him.
Most women faint from the excitement of being this close to him, yet this woman before him was actually arguing with him.
Impossible!
He slightly shook his head and his gaze moved to her hair.
"Your hair is really red..." He reached out his hand to touch her hair, but Diana, who hates such a thing, immediately grabbed him by the wrist, stopping him from doing so.
"Don't touch!" With a stern expression on her face, she said, and Lorenzo arched his right brow at her.
"You're quite the wild one." He said in what almost came out as a whisper and removed her hand that was holding his wrist.
"Stay still." He said to her and gently ran his finger through her hair. "It's silky, just like I thought."
A soft smile formed on his slim red lips, and he shifted his gaze back to her face.
"You're beautiful, but you should work on your attitude around me." He complimented her and glanced at Flora, who was turning red in fury.
"You should mind your behaviour around her as well. She's special to me, so offending her equals offending me, alright? I will pardon you for today, since you're new."
He half smiled at her and turned around, then, with his hands stuffed into the pocket of his pants, he walked away to his master bedroom.
Diana stared at his disappearing back and her hands balled into tight fists.
"I warned you!" Flora scoffed with a haughty expression on her face and walked away to her room.
"Just you wait! My revenge will slap you harder than you can imagine!" Diana said this in a deadly tone, and without wasting any more time, she turned around and stormed back to her room.

Lorenzo shut the door of his master bedroom and took his shirt off.
He walked towards the mirror and gazed at his upper body, which was filled with unique tattoos.
Each tattoo on his body spoke of something, and they were actually personal to him.
He shook his head and untied his hair.
He gave it a very nice combing, and once he was done, he walked to the sofa and sat down.
His phone that was placed on the mini glass table suddenly rang, and he grabbed it.
He picked up the call and none other than Lilith spoke from the other side of the line.
"Son,"
"What is it, mother?" He asked with a tired expression on his face and crossed his legs.
"Have you talked to your father?" Lilith asked, and Lorenzo's face darkened instantly.
"What do you mean, mother?! He is not my father! I am the devil, ruler of hell!! That asshole is just some guy you hooked up with. It doesn't make him my father."
"Fine, your stepfather-"
"Not even a stepfather." He retorted in a lethal tone, and Lilith went silent immediately.
"Fine, whatever you want! But remember that you need him! If you think you're going to get that thing you want without his help, then you're mistaken. Don't forget that you have a limited time and, sooner or later, you will have to return here!"
She said, and before Lorenzo could reply, she cut off the call.
Lorenz slowly brought the phone away from his ear and put it down on the table.
"The devil doesn't need anyone!" He scoffed and stood up from the sofa to walk into the bathroom.
