Capítulo 64: The Man in Charge

"What are you guys doing here?"

"Ezra," Scarlett called him with her sweet voice, "don't worry, they don't mean harm."

The man in charge walks into the centre of the room, "like she said Mr. Knight. We mean no harm. As the police commissioner is injured I am in charge of Scarlett Martinez's case now. I hope you both will give full consent to our interrogation."

Ezra wanted to tell them so many things such as, get lost; fuck off. Maybe push them hard or grab their collar and glare hard at them.

But instead he set all the snacks he was holding with his stable hand on Scarlett's lap and sat beside her. He throws a look which neither showed displeasure nor showed he's happy to see them.

"I know you are just doing your job, but can we at least postpone this until she is strong enough to answer the questions." He paused, glancing shortly at Scarlett before continuing, "When I said strong enough, I meant mentally."
