"You do not have to stay with me, Alessandra. I have already eaten and you've brought more books than I needed for my time on bed rest. Please, find something else to occupy your time with. You still have a party to plan," said Alfred. He hated to see Alessandra spending her day taking care of him when it was meant to be the other way around.

"The kittens will be upset if I leave now," Alessandra lied, holding up the white kitten she brought along to keep Alfred company. "Therefore I will stay."

Alfred stared at the kitten that could care less where it played. If he were to throw one of the toys Sally made for it out the door, it would chase after it and never look back.
