Tara Summer didn't feel the slightest bit drowsy. No matter how Liam Yancey coaxed her to sleep, she kept her eyes open, overly interested in talking with him.

At one point, she held up her blood bracelet for him to see. Under the bright indoor light, Liam scrutinized the pattern embedded in the bracelet; the shape of the twin Dragon Beasts was still there, but now they appeared as black solids, like flaws etched inside the bracelet.

The man gently traced the blood bracelet with his slender fingers, seemingly deep in thought. Summer didn't utter a word, only watching him attentively, absorbed in his handsome face.

After a while, Liam Yancey suddenly encircled his arms around her, pulling her into his embrace. His lips curved into a slight smile, "Close your eyes, and sleep!"

"I don't want to sleep yet," Summer shook her head, still gazing at him, her clear eyes untouched by the world's dust.
