The doctor bowed and retreated, and Liam Yancey stared fixedly at the direction of the master bedroom, his gaze unrelenting.

Old Lagan sighed, indeed there was no need for further examination. He believed Liam Yancey was convinced that Tara's symptoms were all due to the curse of the marriage alliance. What good would another examination do? Had Tara not been examined enough recently?

Further examination was simply self-deception.

"Is there any solution at all!?" Liam Yancey suddenly growled, and with a swing of his right fist, he struck the railing. The strike produced a muffled echo on the sturdy Han white marble.

Old Lagan and Sebastian Kingsley watched in alarm as a trace of blood seeped from the knuckles of the man's hand, both of their faces grave.

"Maybe if we find that old scholar, there might be a way." Sebastian Kingsley consoled, although his tone was not very sure.
