Capítulo 18: Chapter 18: Wolf & I

I stare into Felix’s eyes. He is obviously afraid, terrified even, that I am only ten, maybe fifteen, feet away from him. His breathing is labored, his body shaking violently as if he were standing exposed in the arctic.

Felix wraps his arms around his midsection and stumbles backward, gritting his teeth as a particularly violent shudder racks his body. His fingers attempt to shift again into the menacing werewolf claws. He squints his eyes shut as he tries to fight back.

I quickly glance around the café to get a better idea of what is going on and maybe figure out what happened. There are glass cups and dishes shattered across the ground and about a dozen chairs are overturned. Two tables are on their sides, obviously knocked over from Felix stumbling around the café.
