Capítulo 157: 157. Rice pudding deliciousness!

Derek had earlier planned to go by the commercial bus, but he decided against it. He drove in a grey Jeep Cherokee that night. That would make the journey faster than with the bus, he reasoned.

He set off around 7pm that evening and by 4am the next dawn, he was already pulling over at the gates of the grand mansion. The journey which would have taken about 12 hours had lasted for only 9 hours because he took a much shorter route this time. Also, he had driven quite fast since it was night and the highway was mainly desolate, with few cars prying it. 

The security guard at the gate sprung to his feet, adapting a defensive stance as he carefully viewed the tainted glass of the jeep, waiting for whoever the driver was to wind it down and show his face. When he was close enough, Derek wound down the glass on his side.
