"Sunshine reminds me of you. And it suits you perfectly. So if you would permit me, that's what I will call you from now on." Derek spoke in the calmest voice ever, which melted the insides of Rory as she listened.

What was going on? Was he... high on drugs or something?

Because how? Why would he suddenly want to call her Sunshine?

"I..." Rory still couldn't find the right words to speak. She was utterly stupefied.

What would that even mean to his men? Wouldn't they try to read unnecessary meaning into it? Already some of them were suspecting her to be a betrayer just like her father. And then they would hear their boss calling her...

Oh no. She didn't even want to think about how they would look at her. Hayford would probably chop off her head when he found out.
